bringing a child who brings outside food into his shop, nags the shopowner, rubbing the fact that he failed by saying "you're just unlucky" repeatedly, calls him immoral and rebellious, left without any purchase made. Demons are bad but I doubt any are worse than this

This episode had me crying for 20 minutes. such a wholesome episode. Sad we only have 1 more but i'm glad they already confirmed there will be a season 2

Ubel and Wirbel are the two obvious ones who will pass this test. They very clearly foreshadowed Wirbel because he said "I can win, no matter what situation" and Ubel I don't even need to explain.

Yup, i think it's because of flamme. As much as flamme loves frieren and frieren loves fern, serie also loves flamme. Flamme proposes the idea of serie to become head of magic research but she turns it down relay a message to frieren that serie will do it. And look, who is the one overseeing them all?

And she is better at suppressing it than Frieren that Lernen doesn't even see the instability/fluctuation in her mana. That's why when Fern noticed the instability and realize that Serie is suppressing, she was at awe at the possibility of how much more mana Serie is hiding, Fern impressed her. Despite Serie's constant brush offs about how impractical mana suppression is, she totally acknowledges that it's a good skill to keep doing - I think she learned well from Flamme and Frieren.

I mean, yeah, serie is like 10,000 years old and is literally an ancient being. She's like frierens great great great ancestor. Albeit frieren has the potential to catch up to her.

Maybe Serie is not suppressing with the same intensity as Frieren. As in trying not to fart, it's not the same to clench your butt than to try to let it go off silently.

Oh, it soooo sticks in Serie's craw, doesn't it? I didn't realize just how much Frieren irritates Serie, but until this moment. Frieren trolls Serie so hard in this episode! Himmel's party took out the demon king 80 years ago! Serie's oldest human student has been taught by her for 50 years. That means there was roughly thirty years of Serie sitting and stewwing over Flamme being right before finally capitulating! So that meant it obviously hurt. Then it gets worse. What was the deciding factor in bringing the hero party together? A spell of joy deemed useless by a mage who could never see herself living in an era of peace!!! Oh that has to sting!!! But we're not done yet! Fern looking at someone's who's power is unimaginable. She can see it! Strength that dwarfs Frirren's. Serie then straight up tells Fern there is a way for her to reach such a pinnacle, only for Serie to receive a shrug and a hard pass. After all, what's the point anymore? The world is at peace!!! Flamme is giggling like a loon in the afterlife, and Serie knows it!!!
