This is one of my favorites. Love seeing the boys so cute. Rein tries to open the package with his teeth. Then Walou trying to be friendly but Uniek not quite there yet. Tolerant but not friends. And the ponies inside. Now Bauke is being so tolerant. He loves his wife and can only smile and shake his head. Life is never dull here I think.

Waloubet is such a sweet horse, I still remember when Sjors tried to chase her away from the herd even though she was not even on pasture and she could not care less, she ignored him. That was pretty funny. I heard Waloubet is also family with Rising Star like Sjors, she does also look a lot like Ziffora (Rising Star's mare). Uniek looks beautiful as always.

I vaguely remember a video mentioning Rising Star and Sjor's lineage or family crossing somewhere on the branches so to speak. But is Walou and Risey related as well? Thats too cool with Sjor but would be neat if it was true with Walou as well. What were the original stables plans for Risey? Sell him? Train then sale him? Train him, race him then sell him? A trained and tested horse is worth more is why I ask the way I do. I also wanted to know... what the plans are for RS? Is he going to race or do jumping...he has good blood lines for such sports. But I also know there is a lot of risk for injury for him in either of these sports. I just hope he gets to have a a fun and fulfilling horsey life!! Like Queen Uniek!!

@@amykins9870 I'm little confused - Rising Stars's dam and sire were were/are both dressage horses. Why wouldn't his talent rather be in that discipline? And since Yvonne is an accomplished dressage rider herself, she'll likely take him in that direction, won't she? Especially since Uniek isn't that young anymore and her arthritis will probably not allow for demanding training in the future. And at some point he could then be a good horse for her kids - if they end up persuing riding as a sport. By the time, they're big enough for a horse, he'll be a well trained 'grown up' horse and perfect for an ambitious young rider.

Rein's eyes were so sweet when he saw what was in the envelope. I'm not sure if Uniek and Walou are friends yet, they keep some distance from each other. But they seem to accept each other. Walou found the horse in the window interesting, I was surprised that the reflections didn't scare her, maybe she's used to it by now. The ponies were probably a bit bored in their stall, but such a large building naturally has many interesting rooms.😀

They were so funny and curious almost like a dog. I saw a video where they let their curious full sized horse come in the house and look around. The horse was very interested in the bathroom sink and the mirror reflection (probably thought the sink was a water trouff). He walked past mom sitting on the sofa and studied that also.

Oh the simple joy of a toddler is something that never gets old it’s pure sweetness and something I’m lucky enough to experience daily myself and you get double that Yvonne it’s so precious. Oh goodness, house ponies! My mother, when we were younger, took on the care of handraising a pony whose mother carried her foal out of season and never developed enough milk to feed her. Out of season actually meant that she foaled in late fall and as life would have it we got hit with an earlier than normal winter which was very cold and after trying to keep up with feedings through the night trudging out to the barn in the snow and cold my mom decided that the foal was not really any bigger than the large dogs we had in the house and there was very little reason, as she could see it not to bring a baby pony into the house to be tended to when the weather was bad. She spent about 5 days sleeping in what we called a mud room where we would change into and out of wet and soiled clothing, but human children will do things parents don't expect and she actually ended up with the run of the house. When the weather got better and she went back to days in the stable my mom brought her back to the house at night, to make it a bit easier for her. By the time she was weaned she really had it in her head that she was a 'house' pony and even when left in the stable or field for the night with other ponies she some how managed to escape and come up and bang on the door for the mud room to be let in. One amazing thing was that over time she had learned not to relieve herself anywhere in the house but the mud room, or after she was outside again. My mother was all for sharing a house with a pony who needed special care but she was not at willing to accommodate that forever. We actually donated her to a program that trained ponies as service animals and they were very impresses to get one that was essentially house broken, and one already socially adapted to life in a home as that was the most difficult part of training for ponies and miniature horses on the road to being good service animals. Don't be surprised, now that they know where the house is that you don't have visitors more often!

That was really an education to see the 2 mares be introduced for day 2. I think Uniek is always abit stand offish as she is keeping an eye on RS and the herd and trying to eat. So I think they did very well. Uniek the leader. So sweet to see the ponies in your house. They are obviously very happy with you. The little boys are a credit to you and Bauke and the grand parents. To see the contrast of how Uniek and Walou walk and trot is amazing. Friesians seem to have a more rounded way of moving their legs while the KWPN is flatter--if that makes sense. Waloubet is such a pretty mare and there is something in her that I like very much. The two ponies are very comical. Thank you for sharing your son's and the renovations with us.

It's so interesting to watch horse behavior. They have feelings, just like us. Friendships aren't always instantaneous. At least these two were kind and civil toward each other. They both have very sweet temperaments. 💕

How nice to see Walabout in the arena with Uniek. They have been together a couple of times and Uniek seems to accept Walou. I'd be happy for Walou to have a friend of her own kind since she was rejected by the herd.

Awww!!! Rein is just so adorable! He is thrilled with the Spiderman pajamas and Teije to get the Shark pajamas!!!❤️ That was so nice of the person. Your sons are wonderful little boys! I was fortunate to be blessed with 2 sons also, about the same ages apart from one another. But all grown up and on their own and successful. Enjoy these years with you little sons, it goes by so fast, and the most enjoyable part of life!☺️

Ahh, these Friesian horses have a wonderful life, so well cared for, dare I say… they are pampered! Yvonne is so calm and aware around the horses and I think this inspires their trust and helps develop a special bond! Lots of positive reinforcement too. Your children are so sweet Yvonne, especially enjoyed seeing their interactions with the wee ponies! I love watching the horses move “at liberty” without a rider, such power and graceful movements!
