My hero is Bauke! He hasn't been a horse person (so far 😉), but he makes everything possible for Yvonne's dream. He is great with his sons, and he knows how to handle the dogs (Kiki obviously is smitten by him), and he knows how to build things, and he comes across as a modest man. Very impressive. It is good to know that there are men like Bauke out there being role models for the next generation.

Me too. You can see the pride he has. His horses become the foundation stock for Stal H. I think he must be a very kind man. And how wonderful to see Yvonne go from tragedy to triumph. @@lisajoyaslanis as I see it Rein has many lovely mares from these three horses. He has a lovely Kroon Geertje who has foaled. Yes, it is a business and emotions have to be wrestled with. We don't really know where his first horses came from--a friend or a really wise purchase or maybe, just maybe, he is passing on some of his own great fortune to a younger person starting out. We've seen him mentor a lot of people over the years to build a breed back up. Perhaps Yvonne may someday pass some of her mares on to young Rein should he decide to breed Friesian horses. Wouldn't that be sweet?

I'm remembering when Yvonne and Bauke bought this property with its huge empty barn, and Yvonne and her dad painting inside the house, and then the ponies, and Yvonne's terrible accident and amazing recovery (now driving the truck and trailer alone!), and then Bauke and family and friends building the arena and stalls, and now a stable full of beautiful horses. That was amazing. But, I did get a chuckle over the way the Friesians and the Ponies eyed each other. The Friesians were looking like "Oh, no a pasture full of Johnnies!" While the Ponies were looking like "AAAAAHHH, Giant Shetlands!!!" I can't wait to see how everyone gets along.

Wow! Queen Uniek, Princess Royal Reintje, Princess Saly, 3 beautiful ladies joining Stal H. I noticed that the resident Butterballs (Daisy, Spidey & Glendy) were quite interested in the new members of the Stal H herd. They reminded me of neighborhood busybodies checking out the new people moving into the neighborhood.🤣 Diewke & Kiki were excited about the whole affair. It was interesting to see how Uniek & Saly reacted to the Butterballs but Reintje was so cool & relaxed. Saly was standing close to Uniek in the stall like she was saying, "I know you I don't feel so alone now."

There is just so much here so not much I can add! I’ll try a different perspective. 1. Good use of an empty stall by putting the dogs in there! 2. The 2 pirates almost stole the show. One if them (Teije) is having hat issues. 😁. So cute! 3. Maybe when the horses see the ponies they think of wild Johnny! Seriously, such a wonderful event that you have shared with all of us! Saly coming along was totally unexpected, to me. She has such beautiful offspring! Most of all, I wish you all the best in your future endeavors and continued healing. Also: Thanks to Rein Sr. For such generosity and support. I think that Rein 2 has learned so much from all of you and on his way to being a very well-rounded and responsible young man! Superb! These 3 beautiful ladies make your lovely stable complete. The ponies were very curious about their large new stablemates. Reintje was very cool about meeting them but very eager to see Uniek and Saly again. Bauke deserves a big GOEDZO even though he doesn't know much about horses. It was wonderful to see boss Rein, Rinske and Rein Jr hoping you and Rein SR appreciation of Stal Horjus. Loved to see the boys excitement at the horses coming in their pirate costumes. What is Queen Uniek thinking as she surveys her surroundings ? She has such an almost comical expression on her noble face. Looking at the ponies: “What are those creatures? Are they dangerous? Dogs,maybe, funny looking dogs though, they do not smelll like dogs. Wolves? never seen a wolf, don’t know anything about wolves. They are just fairy tales the humans tell.. Foals, yes, they are foals, or maybe not? They do not look like Friesian foals. legs way too short, and way way too much wild mane. They smell like horses though. Hmmm. Well, Yvonne will protect us from them if they turn out to be dangerous, Anyway they probably live out here behind the fence, and no danger of them trying to get into our new barn.
