No, it's definitely true. Frieza was modeled after the idea of a land shark. They come in, take your land, and either kick you off of it (blow up the planet) or make you pay exorbitantly to live there (what happened with Planet Vegeta and the Saiyans, until he blew it up anyway). Honestly though, Toriyama isn't wrong there, they are some of the worst people. Also no shame in liking Frieza, that's my favorite canon character in Dragon Ball lol One thing they didn't mention in this episode is that when Megatron is in gun or tank mode, his Fusion cannon is vastly more powerful than usual. Although I don't think it makes a difference against Frieza

@ArceePrimes Maybe, but I don't think he has access to those forms without outside help. Which is a big deal with Death Battle. It's the same reason Majin Buu didn't get access to his Fusion forms with Gohan or Gotenks, he needed another person. Unless once Megatron got those forms, he could tap into them again without aid, then he could use them

The crazy part about this is that there's a version of Megatron that would be powerful enough fo beat Freiza in certain comics and stuff from what I heard but that was not cannon to the sources that Death Battle was factoring in for the fight

That was probably Alternity Megatron, and yeah, he's so powerful that he would stomp Black Freeza as easily as Black Freeza would stomp somebody like Yamcha. So I can understand why they wouldn't use him. A fight that one-sided wouldn't be very interesting.

That ending to the fight! Mm~, perfectly terrifying. The ominous, cold-blooded feeling of pure hatred could be felt so palpably through the screen. I honestly expected a bigger reaction from Dwayne N Jazz. That feeling was unlike anything else in Death Battle. It makes you feel like Frieza is real… and he’s out there… looking for another race to destroy… *gulp*.

It kind of sucks that they had to limit what versions of Megatron to use to make this fair. There's another version of him that they could have *theoretically* used called Alternity Megatron, whose power is so insane that he would stomp Black Freeza as easily as Black Freeza would stomp the weakest forms of Megatron. But I can understand why they didn't use him. I'm not sure it was the main Megatron being used in this fight that got those powers, and even if it was, it wouldn't be a very fun fight because of how one-sided it would be.

Keep coping , They used the weakest version of Frieza and even if they did include Megatron's other variants he would've still lost , he was no where near quick enough to keep up nor strong enough. Death battle under scales DB characters all the time and they won't even recognize the fact that Frieza Multiversal with him being able to annihilate Goku and Vegeta. Both who have which are stronger then jiren which has been stated to be stronger then some of the G.O.D's and there's no doubt in anyone's scaling that would put them anywhere below Multiversal. It's simple Linear power scaling for DB and yet no one takes it seriously , Megatron only had anti matter which wouldn't have worked either way because of Frieza survivability.

final matched him with advantage (giving megatron a huge huge benefit of the doubt), golden was an easy stomp (the equivalent to SSGSS), black would literally destroy him with a single poke. antimatter was the only win condition. black frieza is so much incomprehensibly stronger.

So to catch you guys up without actually spoiling anything. DragonBall Super has four arcs that have happened after the Tournament of Power. The manga skipped the Broly movie but it did take place after the Tournament of Power in the manga too, there are references to the events of the movie in the next arc.. After Broly is the Moro arc. After Moro is the Granolah arc where Ultra Ego and Black Frieza were introduced. Lastly the manga has been doing a DragonBall Super Super Hero recap that started in December 2022 and will be ending in December 2023. The manga adaption has a few changes from the movie and honestly, I liked the manga version more than the movie. After that we assume is going to be the Black Frieza arc. Fun Fact: In the anime its stated there are 12 universes. In the manga, this is the same, however its explained that there were initially 18 universes but the Omni-King destroyed them after he couldn't find Beerus who decided to fall asleep during a game of hide n seek with the other gods of destruction.

I only found out recently that Goku actually tricked freeza into the tournament of power, he promised to resurrect freeza with earths dragon balls, but freeza had been brought back with them already so it wouldn't have worked, but freeza agreed because he didn't know about this fine print.
