Firestarter to me brings out the Dad in the men that read this book, that reason is why Firestarter is in my Top 10 King Books. Great Video Landon. 🙂👍

This review really makes me want to read firestarter now, especially since it will most likely have connections to the institute. Fantastic video as always Landon, keep up the work!

Thanks Isaak. And yeah this book is the closest connection to The Institute that we have so far, definitely worth reading especially before The Institute.

Landon A im gonna get it just because i reckon its gonna have super close ties to the institue. Lets just hope the institue isnt more political garbage like elevation.
@LandonA5 жыл бұрын
@@isaak4025 it won't be. King won't do shit like that again lol.

1980 publication date. Sept 29th to be exact. lol. Good review. More a sci-fi thriller than a horror novel, you're right. Next on your list is Cujo (1981) then Christine (1983). Unless you want to throw Different Seasons in there. (1982).

Thanks Viktor. I can always count on you for the correct dates lol.

Rainbird is the best part of the book. I listened to the audiobook to the book, how the reader voices Rainbird is so creepy

Great review, I pretty much agree with you! I think it's one of his best and I still have flashbacks to Rainbird, whereas quite often his antagonists are sort of forgettable.

I totally agree with you on that.

Great review, Landon. Firestarter could easily have been more horrific, and I would have liked it better if it was. Still a good book though. Classic King.

Totally DNF’d The Shining. I saw the movie first so It kind of put me out of the mood. I’ll pick it back up one day. Totally want to read Firestarter now, heard that Ed Lorn loves it.
@LandonA5 жыл бұрын
That was your first mistake. Never watch the movie before the book. The book is a masterpiece and the movie changes so much that it shouldn't even be called The Shining. The movie is so vastly different that the book and the movie are 2 completely different experiences.

It definitely was a bad decision, but at the time I wasn’t a “reader” and I wasn’t a fan of King. Yesterday I bought the Audiobook and gave It another go because E is re-reading it this week. So far I’m hooked

@@baliocelot2537 it's an easy book to get hooked to. And it's a quick read.

I read firestarter when I was 5 and I'm 11 now but I thought it was boring until the end and then I think it's a good book

You read it when you were 5!! Wow. That's super young for a King book.

Rainbird was a scary guy because he was willing to kill a little girl.
