I just discovered this band and I am heartbroken to learn that this beautiful soul and voice is gone from this world. And to hear the circumstances, so very tragic. I hear the pain in his voice. Frightened Rabbit's music breaks my heart every time but yet heals it in different ways. I get literal chills every time I hear Scott's voice. Die like a rich boy is one of my favorite songs but this acoustic version hits even harder. I wish Scott knew how many lives he saved and changed. The first time I heard Frightened Rabbit's music in some movie I don't even remember the name of and since then in my darkest times I know that I have someone who once felt the same. Thank you, Scott, for your courage and honesty. Hope you finally found your peace.

I have to confess, I only discovered this artist as a result of the tragedy hitting the news. They are all such raw and emotional songs... at least his music means his soul will never die. I found FR two days after Scotts passing. Unknowing of his passing, i tuned into public television KCPT The Bridge who was playing a live set from their Kansas City Mo visit. After watching the set, I got onto KZbin to find more from FR only to find that SH had passed on... The soul that exists in FR is unmatched by other folk bands. Maybe im polluted by emotion but this bamd has touched me, glad i found them one way or another.

Scott's songs have always brought out the emotions i didnt want to deal with but they made them bearable and easier to manage . it sucks he himself couldnt find a way to experience that himself. rest now dude. But please if you battle depression and/or anxiety i know how isolated it can make you feel, your not alone there are people out there to help. people do suffer like yourself. reach out to friends, family, online communities, therapy isnt for everyone but everyone HAS their own way of dealing with it thats right for them jsut need help finding it sometimes :)
