Damn, I remember watching this on a sunday morning on my parents couch when I was a little kid. Dreaming of becoming just like him when I grow up. Now I'm writing to you from Colombia where I'm studying nocturnal monkeys for my bachelor thesis. Still nowhere near Steve but he was a big factor for me in becoming a biologist. For he sensibelised me for conservation at a very young age in a very aproachable way. Would have loved to tell him that but thats not how these things usually play out. Cheers Steve! Thanks for all you have done for conservation!

Well not if he is being honest. I mean just because someone swears and gets frustrated doesn't mean they're a bad person. Remember, outside of Steve's shows he was overloaded with responsibilities and manual labor in the hot Australian sun. Moving animals, feeding them, cleaning enclosures, rescues, zoo additions/construction, predicting weather obstacles, managing employees, and spending time with family and friends, were just some of the things Steve needed to do on a daily basis.

True that man... The way he went though... It just seemed like it was his destiny to die there and then. You normally wouldn't think rays were all too dangerous but yet, the term, "freak accident", seems highly appropriate. Especially when it's a guy like Steve Irwin in the water. Seeing his show again brings back quite a bit of nostalgia to me personally. I could watch his episodes real for days on end RIP. Wish him many adventure in paradise! ;)

All these comments about wishing death upon stingrays when our man Steve would tell us about how incredible rays are (which is true), and that he died because he spooked it and that the ray that got him was just protecting itself.
@cannapatient42096 жыл бұрын
So true. Stingrays are incredible animals. It wasn't the animal's fault, and it wasn't Steve's fault either. Terri Irwin said, in an interview, that it was an accident.
