So easy to take apart when it's new! :) The trunnion block section is rusted to the shaft on mine. There is so much gunk trapped under the tub, the pump can't drain it and the water leaks from somewhere else? (Right over the top on spin cycle?)

This was a very informative video. I don't really know if I'd be able to fix my machine since it was a hand-me-down for my sister's former roommate and it's maybe 15 years old, and also I have no experience in fixing stuff like this. All I know is that there's a leak under the machine, and it looks like it's coming from right under the middle area where the tub is, though some water is also leaking down the front right leg of the machine. Maybe it's a hose leak or something, though I'm afraid to attempt especially with how old it is now....

I have a Frigidaire top loader, about 10 years old. During the wash cycle, water is draining out of the bottom of the machine and the drum is spinning and not agitating. It does drain through the drain tube and spins fine. Any suggestions as to what to look for when I remove the front panel? Thank you!

Spray bottle and vinegar. Can use tooth brush and those pipe cleaning things for holes and or a wet dry vac with hot water and vinegar should work.

Did you figure it out? Mine leaks badly like that when I’m filling the washer, so don’t think it’s the pump... maybe a bad seal? Or internal fill line?

Just got to the part where I have taken out the trunion bolts and block and the inner tub will not budge. I have a Frigidaire Gallery Top Loading Washer.... looks identical to the washer in the video.... any suggestions?

+Scott Hayes You will need to put some penetrating oil on it and let it soak in. It is most likely corroded and stuck. It may take some considerable effort to get it loose. Once the trunnion starts turning on the transmission shaft you can lift up while you are turning to get it off.

It depends on where the mildew is. Locating exactly where it is will determine how much disassembly will be required.

What a stupide design . To replace dran pumb you need to deasemple all machine parts .

you only need to pull the front panel off to work on or replace the drain pump. I have the same model as in the video.
