Same reason why I’m here. The exterior portion started fading away and now it doesn’t work, even though I hear the clicking of the button. I hope I find the control panel cheap cuz where i looked it said $330. Dishwasher is 5 years old.

This was 100% my issue on my Frigidaire FGID2466QF. Very easy fix. Thank you! How often does this happen? When do you know it's worth replacing the lock vs resetting the lock?

that's why I'm here.. was going to be charge about the same price that the thing is worth?.. just ordered the parts..will leave update when I do it..gotta hope for the best.. The parts arrived from sears wasn't sure what was broken so I installed the mother board and all the sensors that connect to panel.. Kind of a hassle better to replace.. And what do you know?.. IT WORKED!!.. now the wife is happy because she can use dishwasher and doesn't have to smell Stagnant dirty water.. Thanks repair clinic dudes.. 👍

I have this dishwasher but with a different handle that's also positioned like this one. I had my parts shop order this part number, and it doesn't fit this handle - the back of it is made to allow for a handle on the left side, not at all like this video or my dishwasher. Now my front plate doesn't fit the dishwasher 🙃 I spent a lot on this part. I googled it before and it seemed the same but when I checked online again after, I noticed the handle difference. It's not even the same part you used in the video. Everything else about the part was the exact same so I got it all the way installed before I noticed... Cool.

Unplugging the unit is sufficient--you don't need to turn off the breaker.

This is quite an adventure, attaching the door afterwards when the thing keeps wanting to shut.

Is this the solution to the three lights “clean wash sanitized “ blinking? Start stop and no other buttons work. Only the child lock work currently on my dishwasher. I asked bc a technician came out and wasn’t sure what the problem was and wanted to do trial and error by replacing the control panel first then the motherboard if that doesn’t work. But the combined cost will outweigh the purchase of a new one. Unless it is just the control panel then that can save me a few hundred dollars

My keypad is one unit stuck on with a sticky adhesive. No separate keypad boards.

Nice. My dishwasher just started turning itself on and I can't shut it off with the start/cancel button. I shut off the breaker switch, powered it back up and a few minutes later it started up again. It had a strange combination of settings, but the failure repeated itself. It's a Frigidaire like in your video. It's ten years old. I live alone and only use it once a week. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

This might be a situation where you have to replace the electronic board as well. These guys have a video on how to do that, too--super easy!

Never buy fridgedair products. Total garbage. I used my dishwasher about 50 times and this control panel already needs replaced. Complete garbage

I agree, my Frigidater gallery series dishwasher is three years old next week. Today I noticed the plastic overlay at the start button was cracking out. Ridiculous. I would never buy a Frigidaire unit again.

Frigidaire appliances are nothing but junk. Don't waste money fixing Frigidaire crap, dump them and buy a better brand

That's what my repair guy just told me, they've become junk brand like Samsung. I was told to buy a Bosch, even the lower end model ($600ish) is still good quality.
