Josh just did an interview where Tyler had to leave to Blurry up his neck, the interviewer asked him that question and he actually answered it! Some fan who managed to get on stage and ran over to leave his God damn mix tape on Tyler's piano before security tackled him. Josh said next time it happened he was gonna tackle the person himself, and it was adorable ❤️

When the interviewer said "tons of crazy fans" I said "we're not crazy 😑" and then Tyler said "our fans aren't crazy, they're just dedicated" and I start to jump all over my room (maybe like crazy xD) like "yeaaah Tyler, thank you!!" 😄😃 I really love the way they respect us.

Interesting how Josh (who suffers from anxiety) looks calmer before the show than Tyler (who always seems more outgoing). But then again, I will try at any cost to hide my anxiety. If I look too anxious I feel I'll be in the spotlight and that'll give me even more anxiety.

I've seen heaps of interviews with him right before a show where he's lots of fun and full of energy and silly answers to questions. I don't think just straight up talking would have much of a negative effect on his singing voice.

this was from my concert date and when I saw it I was so excited to check it out! I wish it could have been a more in depth interview with more questions and less generic ones, but I understand the time crunch and the need to please the audience so I'm fine with the interview for what it is. but is it just me, or does Tyler seem super upset in this video? he almost never makes josh take the lead on an interview, but this time josh did most of the talking. Tyler didn't seem like his usual bubbly self or like he was having as much fun as he usually is. whatever was going on, I hope our show in Oklahoma helped him a little bit. I hope he saw the passion and love we all have for them and their music and it helped him cheer up a bit. I may be biased, but I think our little version of Goner (his favorite one to date I might add) might have put him in a better mood as well. #oklahomaclique

Thanks for your kind words. They asked me initially if I wanted to stand between them, and it may have made the interview turn out different, but I wanted to be able to see both of them and not have do the weird swivel-back-and-forth thing. It's possible that Tyler wasn't as talkative simply because he was further away from me and so Josh naturally took the lead on most of the questions. I found that he was pretty open and talkative before and after the interview.

Why does he shut Tyler down like that after Tyler says the fans aren't crazy? First of all, wiped the smile right off of Tyler's face. Even if Josh's response was great, it shouldn't have been necessary. Second of all, is it not the TØP fans that would be watching this interview?! Why say something negative like that about us. Third of all, they have said, time and time again, that they don't want to answer the crazy fan question, because they never want fans to feel badly about themselves. I mean, c'mon.

I didn't mean to shut down Tyler and didn't think I did, honestly. If you listen to Tyler's response and watch his body language, he pretty much was done answering the question. Also, I didn't mean crazy as in "insane", more like crazy as in "passionate". Besides, my boss wanted me to ask that question and isn't something I normally would ask in an interview.

Thank you! The way I approach an interview, I'll do some research about who I'll be talking to so I have some questions already in my head, and I'll start off with one or two to get them talking, but after that I just try to have a conversation. I'll let whoever I'm talking to carry the conversation and go with it, so to speak. I've found that's the best way to get people to open up and it makes for a much more listenable and interesting interview. A laundry-list of questions can get boring and annoying and is tough to listen to, but if you can just have a conversation like you would with anyone else you meet for the first time, it makes things go a lot smoother. Good luck!

Tim Whybrow Although I know your comment was made 7 months ago, I doubt the sincerity of it due to two main factors. A: Never use '21 pilots' or '21p' it's either TØP or Twenty Øne Piløts (or TOP/Twenty One Pilots if you dont have the Danish Ø) B: 'Heathens' along with Ride, Streessed Out, and Car Radio, are the most known (and overused/over covered) songs. Two things: 1) A couple of those questions my boss insisted I ask. 2) I was on a time crunch. I was told only 5 minutes and went over to 6 1/2 minutes, so I was pushing it at that point. If I could have sat down with them in a studio and had all the time in the world, I could easily go 30+ minutes and get much more in-depth on the guys and their music. Those are the kind of interviews I love to do, I just wasn't able to this time around. Thank you for your feedback, though!
