Go sign up to keenanonline.com/ to see the full series. In this Instruction, our hero Keenan Cornelius Delves deep into his own mind and salvages every possible bit of information he has ever discovered about the triangle choke, and proceeds to word vomit it out to a live studio audience. Even If you can only add 5 of the 37 key details to the IMMACULATE TRIANGLE you will see a greatly increased performance in your trigonometrical chokes.

Sick bro. I like that over hook. So many subs just from that one position alone, and KNOW I know how to hit a triangle from there. My coach isn't going to see it coming! My New Year's goal will be met much sooner than expected!

Worth noting that this is the most perfect triangle possible but if you want to finish someone with a triangle there are many triangle variations and the one that works is always the best one so don't lose you eye on the ball and get mixed up thinking about getting all those details and lose the submission. Great video! I learn Gracie Ju Jitsu and that is 99.9% the perfect triangle that was taught to me. I liked that i still learned from this video not so much about technique as much as the purpose of each detail.

I dunno. I think I prefer the other tutorials: "Look, right here, see where foot goes? Now back, cross over, lock it up, pull tight, boom. See how easy that is?"

Dear Keenan. I want to start BJJ. I am not that young :-) I am lost with all the techniques and I don't know from where to start. Is there any curriculum to guide me ? For examples: What are the minimum required techniques and on which order I need to follow to move from white to blue belt, .....I need a kind of reference or path to follow. Does such curiculum exist, like for other martial arts (judo, karaté, ....). Please help me on this.

I usually do this from wrist control defending double collar hold. Two fairly smooth moves, punch one arm down as you pull the other. Position legs and use dominate hand to underhook the leg rotating the hips to seal the triangle But I’m sure he’s competing at a much higher skill level 😅

I’ll try this method but I’m skeptical about that moment you release the overhook (5:28 in the video). Opponent is bound to posture up successfully before I can sink the triangle, no?
@Seegie16
@Seegie16 6 жыл бұрын
I think that depends on who wins the hand battle in that part of the move. Infact youd have to win a lot of mini battles along the way to hit that thing. But thats what Keenan does. He wins all those .
@ParkourUnited100
@ParkourUnited100 6 жыл бұрын
Sean J you're not sinking in the triangle at that point you are grabbing your ankle to keep the posture broken. In fact, by just grabbing your ankle in that position and keeping your knees together you can hang out for a while during the time you adjust because its such a good control position. Hit this same triangle on a guy that outweighs me by 30 lbs yesterday in training.

That's why your tilted on your side and the leg over his whole vack prevents him from posturing up. He States this in the beginning.

Listen to the details at 6:28 he talks specifically about opponent trying to posture and why it is important too keep your knees pointing up and arm is replacing the leg to keep posture broken. Slow is smooth smooth is fast.

What about the triangle you showed where you cut the 90 degree angle but with the leg that's against his neck you kick forward and pull down with the opposite leg that's figure foring?
