Frizzy Wavy Hair? 5 CAUSES!

Hi, my hair is similar to yours except a little less wavy. I have a LOT of frizz and it is mainly the weird wiggly/squiggly hair strands. Do you have any ideas on what I could do to help lessen my frizz. It’s just very frustrating and especially bad when I try and refresh my hair. Thank you!

I feel like another factor that is often overlooked is your WATER. I live in a climate with hard water, and it's a constant battle to moisturize my hair (not to mention scalp irritations etc). A water softener can improve hair health, preventing those hard water minerals from depositing on your hair and skin! But in the scene of costs, it's on the pricy side

@@Gabriela-ir6wk The basic gist: a water softener system processes your water and uses salt (large bags of salt pellets) to extract the minerals that cause your water to be hard. It will soften the water for your entire house, cold water too. Yes it's safe to drink. Minerals from hard water build up on skin and hair, also in your water pipes, affecting/decreasing water pressure. It's about the size of your water heater. A mid-range unit is about $300-500 (I've not looked at unit prices lately). You can find them at any hardware store and potentially anywhere else that sells large electronics (Best Buy, RC Willey, Sears - if that place is still operating)

I’m guessing it’s frizzy because you shampoo and that strips oil out of your hair.

I have a video up on how I cut my hair! I use the same technique every time it just depends on how much hair I cut off. And I can try but I’m not sure how helpful a curl clump video would be since my hair doesn’t clump that well

@@SuhannaDeSilva I have used many different ones but currently I alternate between Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Deep Treatment Masque and The curl company deep conditioning curl masque. And my hair is also wavy and I am pretty sure it's very low porosity

I feel like the sheabutter might be harder to penetrate your hair if it’s lower porosity. I feel like the protein power treatment works better for wavy hair but that’s only if your hair likes protein. If your hair is still dry it might not be reacting well to some ingredients in other products you could be using.
