I'm cool with that as long as you aren't putting the thing up before December. I say two weeks before Christmas, max. Ideally it should be like Christmas Eve, which is the _start _ of the season. We have developed this new system where we start "celebrating" "the holidays" about two months early (really just the start of the marketing season, which they want to take full advantage of, and which is mainly what is ruining it all) , then you squeeze as much money out of people as you can though November and December, and then when they are thoroughly miserable and stressed out and broke, you get the day itself over with, and then you throw the tree out and forget it all and deal with a week or two of depression. Totally ruining it all, I hate it. Right now they have Halloween and Christmas stuff up at the same time in the stores. WTF.

Given our ways of recording and replaying music, they would probably consider it utterly satanic and run screaming from it. Not their fault of course - AC Clarke as you will remember said that any technology sufficiently advanced would seem like magic (i.e. satanic) in their ears.

Just a quick fun fact: The fresco paintings you're seeing throughout the video belong to the beginning of the Medival Era. This period is known as Paleochristian (Early Christian Art) which were about the first centuries of the a.C period. In this period Christianity hadn't been adopted as the official religion and Christians still were persecuted by the Romans right at the end and fall of the Roman Empire. All the art that was done during this period had to be in secret so the Christian communities built underground catacombs in order to execute their religion, which is why, you could say the art on the walls of these catacombs is someone "childish" looking since the art was done on a whim and fast in order to not be discovered by the Romans. On the year 313 Emperor Constantine made Christianity the official religion and we pass then to the Bizantine era in the Medieval period where, because they had the full ability to express their religion and were commisioned by the actual emperors, we have an array of breathtaking work in all of the areas of art, sculpture, painting, architecture, music, etc...

Here’s another fun fact: the first centuries A.D. do NOT come into the medieval period. Medieval means Middle Ages, not Early Christian or, as some would have it Dark Ages. Get your chronology right before sounding off.
@marquez36943 жыл бұрын
Although everything you wrote about early Christian art is correct, you are way off on the visuals in the video. These are clearly manuscript miniatures and illuminations, not frescos. And, as is said in the video description, are from 14th century which would be periodized by some as the Late Middle Ages.

How is everyone obsessed with how "amazing" this is?? Did NO ONE watch the video??
@justforever96 Жыл бұрын
What? I actually came here to _listen_ to the music, since that's what this is, an album. There is no "video", just some artwork to set the mood and to avoid a blank screen. I can't even figure out what you are trying to say, but I can't imagine what the "video" has to do with the music being amazing, which is what everyone is talking about. If you mean the art is shit, that doesn't have anything to do with the music. If you think the art is super fantastic good, that also doesn't effect the music, it's amazing even if the s me artwork is informative infinitely better. If you are talking about what the art represents, want thing applies, the miracle of Christs birth doesn't mean that music about it can't be praised. And if you're just back on that old thing where apparently it's impossible to both watch a video and post a comment praising it, stop it already. I came here to listen anyway, I can type and listen at the same time. Even if I wanted to watch the video, the images go on more than long enough to write a few words without missing much, and in the end, a person can watch the whole video and _then_ post a comment. So I can't think of any context in which your comment makes any sense.
