Just wanted to drop you a line or 2 to let you know how much I appreciate your videos. I was just the average bream and catfish angler until about 2 years ago and then I just happened to see one of your topwater frog videos....I went to Bass Pro and bought a frog and went to a local pond. It took me awhile, but when that first explosion happened....I WAS HOOKED!!! I gave my oldest Son all my gear and bought a buttload of frogs and other gear......I want to say that I am a Army retiree with PTSD and I owe you, My Brother!!! Frog fishing is the most relaxing thing to me...Thank you again and GOD Bless you =)

I fish a huge back country pond that can only be fished topwater because the hydrilla is so thick. I've been having good success with regular frogs lately, and just ordered some Spro Poppin Frogs from your website. I ordered them Monday morning and received them today (Wednesday afternoon). Thanks for the fast shipping! Can't wait to try these out! ~ Kyle

other than your lures OF COURSE! I have enjoyed this one and i think a different one earlier today , great videographer staying with your bait like that . Didn't you say in a video that you carry and sell SPRO ? I've got listed five of their frogs and most popular baits I'm going to order soon but I wanted to get your price before I order ? If you get time please message me back here I guess , I'm trying to get a newer bait caster that's simple easy to set and affordable . I never got used to them unless i was casting something with wait or i'd backlash , thanks

Do you bend the hooks up at all to increase hook set chance? even when I wait after they hit it I still miss. I watched your videos last night and I got inspired so I took my kayak out this morning and missed a 5+ pounder, all which Spro frog on your website would be the best color for smaller ponds in the south like GA

What lb mono or fluorocarbon would you think is ok for froggin same for bass minimum based on the pond a person is fishing? I use 15 lb mono for around weeds/slop/brush or timber and 40lb braid for ligh weeds etc and maybe 50 for heavy stuff.

Ive been living in lower Alabama for over a year now and I love to fish frogs up north in August but what's your favorite time of year to throw a frog down here?
@BamaBass8 жыл бұрын
+mystery_fisherman May is usually a great month because the fish haven't moved out deep yet.
@halti38 жыл бұрын
You probably do not use a trailer hook, since you are an "old hat" at frog fishing. Do you recommend against using one? Does it cause the frog to act differently in the water? Thanks! I really love frog fishing, although I have yet to catch anything on frogs. The damn bait just looks so real coming through the water that I just think one of the days I am just gonna HAVE TO CATCH A BIIIIG ONE just to make up for not catching one for so long! ;-p Also, do you trim the tails on your frogs?
@BamaBass8 жыл бұрын
+ElCid77 I do not use trailer hooks because of the thick stuff I fish them in. Every once in a while I will trim my tails if I feel like the fish aren't getting the body of the frog in their mouth on the strike.
@matthewgraham7218 жыл бұрын
Question, I've got $200 to spend on a new rod and reel. I'm lookin for a Medium Heavy and I am mainly lookin to throw heavier stuff like frogs and jigs. If it can only be one definitely frogs. Rod and reel recommendations would be nice!
