BamaBass Try fishing with a Zoom speed worm rigged up with a Texas rig, that’s what I use most of the time when I go fishing 👍🏻

I've never seen a bald eagle out in the wild like that. I grew up in rural Missouri and used to always fish, but never did see eagles nor an elk or moose even though they're native. What a beautiful place you go fishing. I bet there are big catfish in there too.

That Whopper frog is awesome the only problem I saw was they hit the plopper so hard that the hollow-body frog hooks seem just to hairline too far forward cuz those blow-ups were beautiful

I think that you should film a competition video between you and Liz.Liz uses a whopper plopper,she chooses the size and color and you use the grass burner-(round 1)next Liz uses the teckel sprinker frog and you use a booyah toad runner-(round 2)next Liz uses a lunkerhunt prop frog,she chooses the color'and you use a frog with the whopper plopper trailer and you choose the color.(round 3)you all have to decide what the winner gets!
Very cool video... what was that floating worm you had?

I suggest that you put a hook on the end of that whopper plopper trailer,look at how far that a bass has gut to have that down the throat in order to even get hooked.
@BamaBass6 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing. I am going to try to figure out a way to add the plopper trailer along with this hook. bit.ly/FrogTail
@TheMuhFG6 жыл бұрын
I did that but it takes a little work to make sure the plopper ‘plops’ due to increased friction. Worked phenomenally once fine tuned.

When you are "walking the dog" with your top water, how do you get it to make wider movements. It seems when i try the lure movement is a lot narrower. Could it just be the lures? I was half thinking maybe i should be using a loop knot instead of a clinch knot. Anyways any help would be appreciated.
@Gutheck6 жыл бұрын
You can try a loop knot if you want, I never found them necessary when it came to walking the dog but it can work. Certain lures walk differently than others..depending on the shape, how they sit in the water, the weight...they will all walk different to an extent. You should be able to make them walk further in a direction if you leave a little more slack in your line as you're walking it. The more slack, the more line it has to move to the side more.. It takes quite a bit of practice to perfect it. Try leaving some more slack in your line, if that doesn't work then try a loop knot or a different top water bait. Some of them just were not meant to walk that wide, some were made to walk wider. If you look up Larry Dalhberg who made the whopper ploppers, he has some bigger baits that walk SUPER wide. Just look into the shape, the weight and where the knot is tied, and you should be able to tell if it will walk the way you want it to before you buy it, good luck! Awesome video by the way! I definitely want to try the frog with the plopper. When you figure out how to get a better hook system on it I will buy it for sure! It doesn't seem like it's worth using the way you have it in this video..I can see the bass hitting the plopper and not the frog, great idea though I definitely want to try it when you figure out a better hook system!! Another great video from an awesome fisherman! Thanks a lot for the tips! You have the best videos on KZbin man! I guarantee that plopper frog would destroy them down here in south Florida. :)

I like the innovation of the frog and mini Whopper on the back but I feel like the mass to hook ratio is off quite a bit. the hookup ratio is going to be terrible lol
