Right on. A friend of mine trained in Israel and halfway through class he slipped a disc. Came home got well and went back to finish his training. He started an Informal School in Texas. I went there for awhile. He had a Karate background. He really just focused on the nasty fight ending stuff. With just a bit of training a person that is determined to fight can really make an attacker pay the price. I mean just open handed jabs at the eyes will make most folks stop what they are doing and make it near impossible to see. Which gives you an exit or time to grab an equalizer.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. -- A Hillsborough County woman successfully fought off a man who physically assaulted her in her apartment complex's gym. The assault happened on January 22 at The Oaks of Woodland Park Apartments in Tampa. Nashali Alma, 24, was exercising alone. She let the suspect into the gym because she had seen him in the gym previously, WFTS reported. "Usually, people forget their key tags and fobs. We do let them in and so I let the gentleman in. I didn't think twice about letting him in. I was in the middle of my workout," said Alma.

This is the first video/explanation that confirmed what I have always felt strongly about ... If I were to ever have to defend myself ... and, That is ... the thumb in the eye of the attacker ... and, to emphasize what I mean ... I would shove it in, stir it up and shovel it out ... I have considered this for so long ... that I think it would be my natural tendency without any hesitation !!!

Given, as you pointed out that he threw no punches or went to immediately remove her from fighting back; had he had either that mindset or taken on a defensive mindset, had she picked up a loose dumbbell or other potential object to hit him with; if she either dropped it or he managed to get it, he could use it on her. Watching his mannerisms more than hers, I'm thinking maybe they previously had a relationship or he had hoped they might.

Excellent breakdown🤙!! As former federal LE & Level 5 Krav Maga Instructor(cancer & stroke have temporarily sidelined me), I can assure any doubters that with just shy of 3 years in deep undercover, Krav Maga, the appropriate form taught by the appropriate Instructor(s) combined with extensive live sim training(now referred to as "force on force." I'm a dinosaur🦖, lol), works, works well and is devastating & deadly. That said, first, I do not understand her working to and seemingly getting towards the door/exit, then the video picks up with her back over by the machines, and secondly, the guy's total lack of "violence of action." It would almost appear as if this was staged, at least that guy did not act, react or behave as most of the scumbags that I encountered on a daily basis would have if they were in his position with this gal in this situation. WTF🤷🏻‍♂️??? As noted by Jason, had the guy brought ANY legit level of violence of action, well, there'd be one more rape video for LE to study for "how NOT to react to a threat." If someone is showing their daughter this video, please tell her NOT to watch what the girl does cuz against a legitimate threat, she would do NONE of this, however tell her to listen to Jason's oral Instruction and critique on what she SHOULD HAVE done, NOT what she did in the video. In ANY CQB encounter or blitz attack, FORGET LE!! React and fight like your life is on the line cuz against a legitimate threat, it may very well be!! Regardless, excellent breakdown~ On another point, your vid on the Uvalde school fiasco, LE & their response along with the current state of LE today, was spot on!! We as a society are at a crossroads and I pray that we have enough sheep dogs left to make a difference. Continued Success Brotha🍻 RP

Today these young adults are completely clueless as to what dangers are our there. They are thought in schools to not be "violent" and its repeated all the time, thus resulting in false notion every one around them is non violent and thus no threats exist. Locks, cameras all provide false senses of security.

Yeah it really seemed like that guy was super weak on his level of aggressiveness. I was thinking about how hard she was working just to fight a guy who seemed super sleepy or weak or on pills or something. That was my thought exactly. Hes half asleep and shes fighting for her life and he still took her down. She got away because he let her. I have been in physical altercations with males and it never worked out for me. Even with me being tall and on the bigger side an ex boyfriend who was super skinny and not even athletic almost killed me. It's really scary to think about. I may have to watch it again. Did she have an opening to his throat? That phone shoved into his windpipe would end it quick enough. Heck, even your knuckles or fingertips (strike) there will incapacitate them for a while.

@kalikale3969
@kalikale3969 Жыл бұрын
@@redfaux74 I know of girls that have used it. I was taught it myself. It doesn't take much pressure at all. You get an idea by simply tapping on your trachea with your finger. Not a good feeling even doing it yourself. You don't have to KILL the person, simply incapacitate them long enough for you to get away. Then again, there's always the upper cut if the attacker is close enough. They won't see it coming..and remember, always, ALWAYS follow through with your entire body. Too many people stop when they feel contact. That will just piss them off and possibly break your hand. Anyone can do it. I saw a 7 year old white belt, newbie break a board with his fist on the first try. Our instructor told him to aim for the holder's belly and don't stop until his fist got there. WOW at the surprise with that little guy did it and didn't even say 'ouch.'

At 10:00, 100% in agreement, lock the head so he cannot flinch back and remove the eyeball with the thumb. If you have not trained that on a BOB dummy, chances are you will not do it on an assailant because the brain does not have a file for it.

Perp was found to live in the same apartment complex and she had seen him around before, hence the reason why she let him in. His gait and mannerisms are an immediate red flag to me. Sits there, ambles around - that doesn't seem right. All the earmarks of drugs or a EDP (emotionally disturbed person). If there had been any more strength and determination in him, she would have easily lost that fight, despite the fact that she is a bodybuilder and all. The better options would have been to utilize the gym to her advantage. Running around the benches and machines keeping distance away from him. Tossing a plate into his legs would have stopped him cold. Using any number of the items there as a force multiplier. I think the biggest takeaways from this incident are that we cannot allow ourselves to sink comfortably into that bubble of familiarity. Apartment gyms, staircases, hallways, etc are notoriously dilapidated and desolate spaces where things could and have happened. It's very easy for any outsider or insider, to just lay in wait for the right victim. Just maintaining some level of vigilance and scanning around for what is at your disposal should something occur is enough.

NO OPENING DOORS for ANYONE, unless you're my mama. Forgot your keys? How sad. Step back 10 feet & catch....cuz you ain't coming in. Period. Problem is, women are taught from birth to be polite & accommodating - - nothing wrong with that. But you have to GIVE YOURSELF PERMISSION to be rude & even violent in certain situations. Always try to remove yourself from the situation first, if possible. I tell women all the time, the most important gun you load is your MIND. Run thru scenarios in your mind, & think about what you would do. You won't do half of that in real time, but this exercise is where you visualize yourself hurting an attacker - - GIVE YOURSELF PERMISSION to do it, to HURT another human being; it really is ok. And it may make the difference between life & death.

She was lucky the attacker was a moron, if he had been a serious rapist, he could had pinned her down fast and banged her head on the floor a bunch of times, then toss her around like a ragdoll before dragging her body outside and tossing it in the dumpster. Most successful rapists (Bundy etc...) use way more force and end up killing their victims, this dude was soft, but could he gets caught because next time he tries this he might learn how to stun or kill ladies before ripping off their clothes and violating them. Yeah she needs to carry a weapon from now on, and not go out alone. Her luck will run out if she is not careful.
