That's a great range. I got myself a pedal assist bike yrs ago, sadly it weighs a bloody ton so its hard to use without the assist, what a great gift, what an awesome mate 😊

I've got the same bike and it seems pretty good. Cycling along damp gravel paths and carrying my hefty bulk. Backed up by charging on one of those mains power meters to get an idea of the accuracy of the gauge.

If you asked me a couple of years ago about getting an E-bike I would of said no in a colourful way, I could never get my head around the point in having one, I was always more on the side of pedalling a bike the more traditional way, but these days I can definitely see the appeal, the distance you can cover on one without getting worn out so much is pretty amazing. I’m definitely aiming more at getting one now due to enjoying the canal networks on a bike and being able to cover more distance. Great video Allan ☺️.

For me its a big help because of my health. In the past I rode a lot, but now I get tired quickly. This has enabled me to go back to it with a little help.

@@frogmaster83 yeah that’s the problem with seeing it from my own perspective, I overlook the good that can come for others, but when you look at it from other peoples perspective you can see it has a wide range of advantages, I genuinely do think they’re a great piece of kit and I can see a place in the market for them. It’s good that you can get back out and enjoy cycling again Allan, I have a bike I just need to replace the cables on it, I’m hoping to do some bike packing in the summer/autumn time.

What a lovely fella that Marc is. I’ve avoided the e bikes as I need the exercise more, I do only do the flat of Southsea though. Good vydja Allen 😉👊🌟

Sounds about right Dan. Its very flat and smooth on the seafront, so I should be able to squeeze a little more. 😉

Bring your bike to Norfolk. There's some great routes

I was up there last summer. The roads are much quieter too. 👍

You have a wonderful mate in Mark , the bike will easily do a hundred miles with no charge or pedalling as long as its on flat territory on ruth ground and hill climbing is where you will start losing the battery so pedalling will be nesury for lengthening the battery time , the coastline of Hastings , Bexhill Eastbourne, is a wonderful place to Ryde, but please stick to the cycling routes as there could be trouble ahead.

I have done over 1500 miles on mine in last year, mostly on low only on heigh for hills

Last couple of weeks I have been using it for going to work. Its only a couple of miles and due to the traffic, I take about the same amount of time as using the truck.

Are you enjoying it? Get some lights and hi viz and go out at night on a full moon it’s wonderful, I come across badgers,deer, muntjac but my favourite is the owls, it surprises me every time I see one standing in the road at night, I wonder if it’s the heat of the road they like? Do you watch Wiltshire man on you tube he dose a lot of bike camping? My wife and I go out for long trips come rain or shine, pannier bags with cook sets and tarp packed in, seats on rack find a nice quiet stop and set up home lol

I bet that's hackable to crank it right up well past 15mph with the hand throttle 👍
@frogmaster832 ай бұрын
Yes you can change the settings but to be honest, 15mph is about right on the cycle lanes etc. Too many people walking there dogs or looking at there phone.

Great bike ,illegal but great .lol .you can remove the throttle..Great video BTW brother. God bless you 🙏. Lee

Dont really use the throttle much, the peddle assist is enough for my ride to work.
@Soggz77852 ай бұрын
Nice. Can I borrow it and test it properly for you? I’ll take it around the local trails around Longleat and centre parts for you to see if it can handle some proper riding…😉

Not sure if you are aware but throttles on public roads and cycle paths are illegal in the uk.

yes, at the moment. The is talk of changing that and upping the legal power from 250 to 500 Watts.
