I love your "On the Road With Laura and Grant" series. They are so informative and interesting. Who would have thought that grain bins would need any special manufacturing? You just look at a catalog and say "Yeah, that's what I want" and it shows up. 🤔😏 Keep it up, Laura, as there are many people that still think the food they eat just seems to magically is available in their store. But so much goes into farming. Great job with the presentation.

Laura, those safety glasses improve your looks over 50%. . . . they cover half your face. . . . I told our 12 year old daughter that years ago. She had just got her first glasses. I have used that comment when I wear my mask at church. I ask someone in the church office if my mask is covering half my face. . . . then I ask if it improves my appearance 50%. I have never said, "Do the math." By the way, I am so pleased to see your KZbin videos. Your enthusiasm is wonderful. The factory reminds me of working at my uncle's Flexi-Coil plant in Saskatoon in the evening when I was in high school. . . . those were the years. 😊

The most impressive was Fort Howard paper mill which is now a Georgia Pacific location in Green Bay Wi. It was over 5000 acres internal space. You needed a map to find your way around the place. It even had it's own coal power plant to make electricity.

Love seeing manufacturing. I retired from Fel-Pro Gaskets. Back in the day ever paper, cork rubber, and steel gasket were pressed or cut individually. First time I saw a CNC machine cut hundreds of small gaskets from a single piece of material it was amazing. However, when were in meetings the whole building shook from the 500 ton presses punching out cylinder head gaskets. The workers would insert a piece of material into the big press on their wrist were cuffs attached to a line that was attached to the top of press. They would mash a button the press would come down while at the same time pulling their arms away from the press.

I recently assembled a steel prefab corrugated building. Not large 24 X 36 X 13 feet high. 4,500 bolts. All initially assembled 'finger tight', to allow for flexibility of the later assembled segments. But when braced, true, level, and ready,, all 4,500 bolts needed to be tightened. That took nearly one week for one man,,, just to tighten and inspect all the bolts. Those plastic buckets filled with bolts looked very familiar to me.
