I came to carnivore to try to regain my health. At 62, I had tried all the “healthy” foods… lots of green leafy vegetables, smoothies, super foods, organic homemade soups, herbs, homemade bread, snd desserts with the best ingredients, etc. My symptoms just got worse. My guts were a major issue, heartburn every night and reflux getting more frequent. I had aches in my knees, so I couldn’t walk much. I also had major anxiety and depression. I felt crazy,at times. I was gaining weight. I couldn’t figure out why…since I thought I ate healthier than most people I knew. When I heard about carnivore last summer, I watched a bunch of videos, read some books, and finally felt compelled to try carnivore. I basically did it cold turkey. I completely changed my diet overnight. That’s how I prefer to make changes. I also quit drinking alcohol at the same time. It was rough for awhile. But I was committed. I had to go to my room when my hubby would start snacking on his chips, pretzels, goodies or nuts… I still have to do that occasionally…but mostly none of that junk appeals to me. I don’t consider it to be food. It pains me to watch my family and friends eating and drinking all that garbage that I know is soo bad for them…especially my little granddaughters who are obviously addicted to sugary snacks. I I wanted to shout it from the rooftops how great this way of eating made me feel! I lost 30 lbs with no effort at all… only my change in eating. I am down to my weight of my early 20’s. .. Everyone questioned my crazy new way of eating and feared for my health …all the while shoving goodies, snacks and alcohol into their mouths. So ridiculous and brainwashed we have all been! Anyway, I would tell everyone to try it for a few months… it’s not easy… but you will look and feel and be a hundred times better. You will love the ease of it. I still love and appreciate the steak I eat almost everyday. Watching and listening to all the carnivore channels..the doctors and everyday people…really really helps keep me on track and feel like part of a community, since no one in my life eats this way. Good luck to all who are brave enough snd smart enough to give it a try!! Happy New Year 🎊 🥩 🍳 💪🏼

I love watching people sharing their stories! It is amazing how eating meat gives you control over your appetite! I am not at all tempted even facing a buffet table! I lost all my cravings for carbs, sweets, breads, rice, even the "healthy plant based like sweet potatoes, etc. " I can eat beef, eggs, butter , sardines and I am very happy. My only vice is coffee:) I have more energy at age 63 than the previous 30 years past... and I am happy , no more 'hangry' episodes. I am healthier and I am exercising a little now. I did not exercise apart from walking! But now I can do squats :)

How long have you been totally off carbs? For me it's been three weeks and the cravings are going away. It helps to think of them as poisonous nonfoods. I'm hoping someday I will feel the same about carbs as I came to feel about cigarettes which is that I can hardly believe I ever smoked at all. Gross. I still have a reserve cigarette from years ago, just in case, that I forgot about. Now I have some homemade fudge that I will put away in the freezer. If I can forget about that I will know I'm really over the addiction. I've never in my life not been acutely aware of every smidge of chocolate in my house. If it is a single m&m I could tell you where it is. Good luck!

I found out the hard way. Ten years low carb/keto. Then six weeks carnivore. I had an eye exam and found out that I have ARMD. Saw on KZbin that I should eat a cup of steamed spinach every day. Two weeks of that and I got the most severe back pain. My back has always been a problem, but this was severe. I couldn’t roll over in bed without severe pain. Two weeks of that with many anti inflammatory supplements when I finally figured it out that I needed to stop the spinach. Pain disappeared in six days.

I'm trying to find many more examples of older ones who can hopefully motivate, encourage or inspire my in laws that are in their 80's to at least look into this. I tell them they can do anything for just 30 days & they'd be surprised at the remarkable positive changes they'd experience. They've seen & heard my own personal change since I became Keto a decade ago & now Carnivore the past few years. They're fascinated at my transformation but always hint that their too old to change. I say they're NOT! They're super lean but not healthy. Joints hurt, they're forgetful, have constant arthritic pains, balance issues etc. I will lovingly share some of these interviews & experiences with them to hopefully help them see it's NEVER too late. I don't want to give you a swollen head from this, but when you came on the scene, you encouraged others to start their own KZbin channels, and promoted their sites. No, the doc is covering the stories of a number of individuals and following them for a year, and filming doctors and other experts. Then there is the editing, color processing, promotion, etc. It is hard to wait for it, but it has to be done right to get to a wide audience. Kerry is working on a "Torch" as a pitch to studios such as Angel Studios - and you will be givien an opportunity to vote for them to put in their funding.

Happened upon this video and just had to watch it! 😊 Wonderful to hear you’ve both benefited from this way of life! A few years ago a daughter-in-law talked me into trying plant based whole foods and she thought it would help my health, and help me lose the excess weight I was carrying. Ok, after doing the aforementioned plant based diet for nearly a year, I couldn’t stand it any longer! I quit, couldn’t stand mushroom burgers etc anymore!!! About a year ago I was watching KZbin and happened upon Ken Berry and nurse Neisha, and listened to what they had to say! It reminded me of a high protein diet I had been on as a teenager, and had success with, so I thought, “Why not try this, it just might work! Nothing to lose in trying! So I began, and to cut this short, after a year I’ve lost 75+ pounds, have much more energy, and feel better than I have in literally decades! Still working on losing the last 35 pounds, but I’ll get there! Blood pressure higher than I’d like it to be, and I feel losing the rest just might change that issue! Anyway people, if you actually do what these good people are sharing with us, it will work! I started out at 245, now at 165, goal is 130-135!!! By the way, the plant based whole food did absolutely nothing positive for me! Didn’t even lose a single pound!😊😊😊

While slow transition of diet makes a lot of sense, I’m more of a cold turkey kind of guy. I suddenly went Keto around 3 years ago. Then I suddenly went carnivore around 18 months ago. The sudden Keto to Carnivore transition was easy (Carnivore is a special case of Keto). But suddenly going from SAD diet loaded with sweets (I’m a recovered sugar addict) to Keto made me feel like crap for about 6 weeks. But I pushed through it with the confidence I was going to be ok.

Babs, I had 4 months of shockingly bad joint pain all over my body, including bouts of severe back pain that would keep me in bed for a week. I had been vegetarian for 3 decades and for the past decade had been juicing veggies, including greens. I had been keto for about 6 months before carnivore but it was when I changed that the oxalate dumping started. Having listened to Sally K Norton, I did some of her protocols to mitigate the effects and increased my electrolytes, which helped greatly. I also had 6-7 months of diarrhoea. I persevered and now I only have minor episodes of dumping every once in a while, resulting in some knee and foot pain. Good luck and I hope all goes well for you. Happy New Year! @@babsphillips8583

Rick, this is Steve. I just changed my about setting on my channel and it begins with Walk with me. For the world carnivore month of January I’m doing a series of videos on 30 days of ground beef, salt and water. I have spent $77 for 30 days of food. My way of thinking everyone can afford $77. My suggestion is to give it a good go for 90 days. That’s long enough to get rid of food cravings and it’s long enough to change your labs. I don’t know what your motivation for doing carnivore is whether it’s for physical health or mental health. I do know that this way of eating can change both my contacts are in the description.

@@cleancarnivore - Thanx for the reply! I really appreciate that! Sorry for the length - I'm nervous about posting on here but maybe others might relate in some capacity. I feel I need this to be said allowed so to help hold myself more accountable. My motivation is the following: The night before my daughter's 7th birthday (Her mom (now my ex-wife) probably put her up to it) she asked me to promise her that I would quit smoking for her. She said that she wanted me to "PROMISE" because I never break a promise. I immediately promised her on the spot because I felt it the right thing to do at that moment. April 17th, 2000 - That daughter is now 30 and I kept my promise! My new wife of 20 years received a call in mid August 2023 that they wanted her to come back in for a 2nd Mammogram. She waited to tell me until the 13th of August. (She was scared and didn't know how to tell me). She had a followup scheduled for August 18th. In that window I made a promise to myself AND God that if that exam would come back "Clear", I would immediately give up alcohol and soda until I got myself healthy again for her! (I was weighing in at 280 lbs as of March 2023 AND I drank excessively. To the point of being drunk 3-4x per week). (If I can promise a 7 y/o that I would quit smoking - I KNOW I can promise myself that I will do this for my wife and family) Fast forward to end of December - Not a drop of alcohol or soda - HOWEVER - I've learned in that timeframe that many of my items I was drinking were just as bad. NA Beer (Still has sugar) - I was drinking 2-4 energy drinks a day (some zero sugar - some not). What was the point other than I LITERALLY kept my promise but wasn't focusing on my health. End of December - went on a vacation to the Rockies. (What majesty!). Plenty of pictures. I'm very self conscious about my appearance and want to do better for myself, wife and two kids. I want to be around for them. I decided that I would start the Carnivore Diet (Been doing quite a bit of videos and reviews over Christmas break). I also made another promise that my ONLY intake of liquid will be plain ole fashion water. No "Crystal Light" fruit punch mix, no energy drinks, not even coffee. Water. (I ended up telling my wife the promise that I made to myself for the first time. I could see in her reaction how much this meant to her). So with that - the renewed FOCUS is being turned to Carnivore. I'm excited to see where this takes me. I'm looking for something that I can do and continue for the remainder of my life that's actually sustainable and healthy for me and my family. Feeling excited/nervous.

Can’t see the link to the document about carnivore and cancer you mention around the 1.12.00 mark. Would be handy to have stored on my phone. Thanks for an inspiring and entertaining video you two. I’m 74 (and 12 days 😬😬). Started Carnivore on 2/1/24. Only learned about it 3 days b4 my birthday and decided to give it a whirl. The weigh in was painful! Ach yer no’ bad I thought 😬 Wrong! 😏😱 241.1. 8 days later 230.6. 10.5lbs off. I’ll take that! 76 to go. I’m 5’11”. I’m so committed to it (can’t believe myself cos I love love loved cooking baking trying new recipes allll the time. And I mean all. Even living on my own I’d still do it every single week. Something new. So committed am I that I’ve cleared out my kitchen cupboards. I had two cupboards solely for baking ingredients. One for spices n herbs. One for pastas, rice n grains. And two filled to capacity with tinned produce. Tomatoes. Kidney beans. Barlotti beans etc etc etc. Gone! Given away to family n the food bank. The fruit n veg went first. Thought I might miss an onion but not so far 😬 Only health issues. High BP since 2021. Cysts on liver. Looking forward to having more motivation n stamina. (Been doing more already!!!). Thanks again.

I was 280+ lbs at 6’3” and 52 years old. Prediabetic, neuropathy, aches and pains all over, depression, snoring, and bad gas. Most all of it was gone in two weeks on carnivore. It’s been less than three months and I’m 252 lbs now. But on the topic of cold turkey vs slowly starting carnivore, I did cold turkey and had zero issues and I don’t have a gallbladder. I can see if someone is weening off meds or was a vegan but I ate meat regularly anyway so maybe that’s the difference. But I wouldn’t hesitate to tell anyone to start full blown immediately. Most people need animal fat and proteins immediately so most can get past “keto flu”. My sister has lupus and has ran thru all the usual meds and she had no issues cold turkey either. BTW she’s off all her meds and feels great.

Omg, I only did carnivore for 3 days, got too lazy to cook yesterday and started eating carbs. Middle of the night, could feel my BP was up, had diarrhea, nausea, headache, ringing in my ears, much louder than my usual ringing. Then vomited a few times, felt super dizzy, faint like I'd pass out if I relaxed my eyes. Fought that for couple hours. Had only about 2 to 3 hours sleep, but got back to sleep and woke up feeling more normal. Taking it easy today. I'm 70, diabetic, A-FIB, high BP, low thyroid, obese, bone on bone knees, arthritic hips, neck, shoulders and back. Definitely felt better on carnivore. Had homemade broth so far. Thank you. I am so happy to see videos like this. Inspires me that all ages of people cure all their long-time health issues. Now, I also took 2 pills of a new supplement I just got yesterday, glandular thyroid. I was only supposed to take one and I think that also had a lot to do with my unpleasant symptoms last night. I know from experience that the carbs Really make me feel worse and worse, though. Starting carnivore was so easy. Simple elimination diet. I shake seasoned chicken wings, made meatballs with dash of nutmeg and 1/4 teaspoon ginger which makes them extra tasty. I Pressure cooked a pork roast in can of chicken broth. Delicious and makes delicious broth. I also slit hotdogs, filled with little mustard and hard cheese, wrapped with bacon and baked. Favorite my mom always made for us. So good. Don't overcook. Always loved eggs, scrambled many different ways, cheesy, cheesy with ham, soft, hard, beaten well and fast scrambled in extra bacon grease so they puff up. Also boiled, deviled, over easy, especially good on a crispy burger patty. But, I've gotten tired of all those types since I spent about a year doing ketovore and ate lots of eggs. Luckily, I rediscovered how very delicious poached eggs are with salt and can even add extra fat or butter to them. So easy to eat. I poach mine quickly in water in a small, buttered cast iron skillet. Cook a minute or so, use spoon to turn over, wait a little bit, remove with slotted spoon and chop up in a bowl. Eat with a spoon. So flavorful.

I'm still watching this stream. I wish I had caught it live. I'm hoping they circle back around to afib to get more details with regard to how he resolved his irregular heartbeat due to afib. It sounded a little bit like he may still be on medication? I'm really convinced that all of my dad's health problems stem from a medication induced cascade of maladies starting with high blood pressure. I think if I can find some evidence that carnivore can reverse long term afib for someone in their 70's that might be the thing that pushes him over the line to try it. I'll keep listening for it...unless someone knows someone else who has spoken on this issue? Thanks for the great video and guest!

After listening to NUMEROUS interviews here and other sites, I haven't heard a single new carnivore eater mention oxalate dumping or physical pain from stopping carbs (veggies/fruits/grains). I have literally been suffering from excruciating pain after stopping all carbs. Am I the only one????? I hope it ends soon because after a month, it's exhausting and discouraging! I'm a 75 year old woman with a naturopathic degree which means I did nutritional studies and feel COMPLETELY LIED TO and DECEIVED about the very foods causing me so much detoxing and pain!! Why am I doing this to myself at my age? Because once you know the truth about oxalates, you can't keep eating them!! Could sure use an encouraging word from SOMEONE!!! The video boasts of depression/mental issues stopping but it seems with oxalate dumping, I'm struggling with sadness/anger/discouragement I don't normally have. Why do I feel so alone in this oxalate issue????
@cleancarnivore

@babsphillips8583 I am sorry for the pain that you are experiencing. Pain has not been part of my journey. But I am here to offer help and encouragement. I am not a doctor and do not want to seem like I am giving medical advice. There are qualified and respected doctors in the carnivore community on KZbin who discuss oxalates specifically. If you search "Carnivore and oxalate and pain," they will be in the search results. If watching their videos does not give you the information you seek, then contacting them directly may be your best option.

Steve reminds me of myself in some ways. I am a 75 year-old Vietnam Era Army Veteran. He mentioned Dr William Davis. I first met Dr Davis almost 20 years ago when he had a website called Track Your Plaque, a site dedicated to heart health. Dr Davis was affiliated with Milwaukee Heart Scan. Back then, he recommended a reduced Carb lifestyle with less than 80 grams of Carbs/day. I tried it and cut 8" off my waistline in about 8 months. I later reverted back to too many Carbs. I developed AFIB and pericarditis. I went on strict KETO in Spring, 2018 and dropped 50 lbs by Fall 2018. My waist was back to 32" and I felt much better. Six years later, I have gained about ten lbs. My New Years Resolution was to change to Carnivore and stop drinking 8-10 glasses of wine per week. I will miss Macadamia Nuts.

Before carnivore one of my dogs was very, very, very sick I asked her to hang on while I searched for an answer, I spent thousands of dollars searching for the answer and I found the answer in carnivore. I fed her lean raw beef steak for a year and it saved her life. She as well as the others are healthy and happy full of energy the shedding also stopped. My dogs eat what I eat, BEEF. If you love your dogs and cats don't feed them any carbs or processed foods, no veggies, grains, dairy or fruits. The only dairy exception might be goats milk every two weeks or so, it a nice treat for them that doesn't bother their stomach.

After five ablations, the last to correct A-flutter, this lifestyle has changed my life, and able to enjoy life the way I was meant to. I just want to reiterate what I said in the video: I count weight loss as the least beneficial of the benefits. Carnivore is one of those things that is impossible to know how you will feel beforehand and just as challenging to try to explain to someone else. Why not start by reducing your carbs. Eliminate seed oils, processed food, "white" food, sugar, bread and flour, potatoes, rice, any color. Eat only whole food that is grown, not manufactured, or in any container. After that, begin to eliminate plants. Lean into the community, search, and watch videos from people you respect.

Just getting back to carnivore and seems to be holding steadier. Tough complex subject but I sure as heck would give it a try. I'm feeling better with more energy in just a few days, 4 days. Good luck ! Best wishes !

My father was also a bread baker He mentally was not okay I'm told that being around all that yeast can cause mental problems. Kind of like black mold poisoning but a little different. Not good to inhale all that yeast

Looking back there is not a doubt in my mind. Tell me what sourdough baker does not pick up a jar of starter and take a big whiff and smile in satisfaction not knowing the danger.

@@cleancarnivoreI was told that Sourdough is better for us if we're gonna eat bread. Do you think that's true My dad worked in a bakery with huge containers of dough The yeast smell was so Strong He was such a cruel man. I think that might be what caused it.

I believe it’s true that sourdough bread has a lower glycemic index. But in the end, it’s a carbohydrate and contributes to my sugar addiction. I am happy carnivore without it..

I found it easier to just start eating a lot of meat and eggs and wasn't hungry or craving carbs. Just have plenty so you're full. But I've done very low carb and intermittent fasting several times, so only meat and eggs was easier. Want to know how to make carnivore food for dogs and cats. My take on cancer is take Fenbendazole or Fenben to kill all cancer. I have a friend and his dad who cured their cancer. I've also seen videos by people who cured their cancer with Fenben.

I love you but your new mic has too much bass and it is too loud compared to your guest. Keep doing the interviews they are as important than the information. The more stories from real people the more empowered new people will become. It is definitely happening. When I first started talking to people about it they hadn't heard of it. But even health professions are starting to say "I heard a little about that I will have to check it out" All the astonishing health story that go well beyond weight loss is going to have a major impact. We can expect a major disinformation campign in the near future. Keep the stories coming.

I'm afraid of in a short time that we will have a shortage of meat and that will drive the price way up witch will make meat unaffordable to most of us.

Larry, Worry and fear will raise your cortisol levels. While there is a ground swell, going to carnivore likely it won’t outstrip the ability to increase production of meat. The book I read, says not to worry about clothes to wear or food to eat.
