for me, the most important thing is hand eye coordination at the point of impact.. some of the best golfers of days gone past had suck bizzare and unorthodox swings that defied conventional logic. they did so well because they knew how to get square at impact with a good club head path. one of the finest ball strikers of his time, 'Jimmy Bruen' managed this whilst having a backswing that had the clubhead pointing towards the ball at the top of the backswing..
