I absolutely love this song and love watching Corey in the studio in the video version. You must watch! Very underrated song and his voice just sounds so fantastic, as always..

Corey Taylor was found, by VVN Music, to possess the second-highest vocal range of any known singer in popular music with a range of 5 and a half octaves. He was beaten only by Mike Patton (6 octaves). Also, if you like Corey's diverse vocal ability then you'd love early Stone Sour, which is even more varied than the modern one. Note that the earliest known recordings of Corey do exist, when he was in his high school and pre-Stone Sour band 'Criminal Mischief'. I don't know why I added that last part here but it's a little-known band that every Corey fan needs to know about.

Nice, sorry lol I missed that part. I listened to this a million times. Also, you're not crazy. If so, I'm psychopathic. The 'making of' this studio session is about 20 minutes, it's hilarious.

Yeah, that's what I watched. :) Don't worry about missing it. I think maybe 5 people watch after the song ends, so it's cool.

Your self-deprecating subtitles are really funny, and just a tiny bit less crazy than when Brad (taste in music) visits himself from the future (multiple futures, actually) to talk shit about his opinions on the first recording, or the second, or... Also, funny that you mentioned the Beatles, because Paul (freaking) McCartney is also part of the Sound City documentary and soundtrack.

Glad you found it!🍻🍷 Had a feeling you'd love it ;) So is there a t-shirt with the many stages of Corey? A coffee mug? Like a big coffee mug that's the size of the kettle, so the many Coreys can fit on there... Merch idea for the future when the channel dings... make a small batch, call'em limited edition, and take my money I like big mugs 🎶🎼👽🎼🎶 P.S. You don't even need to use his actual face... silhouettes will work perfect ;)

I get it. Ive been a Corey Taylor fanboy since I was 12 and have no regrets. The man's range, versatility, and descriptions are often overwhelming. Ive been through some hard times but each Slipknot and StoneSour album came out at just the right time in my life to help me get though it. He is definitely my biggest idol.

As stated before Sound City was a studio in LA area that produced a lot of legendary records. Long story short (this will still be long) Dave Grohl found out, made a documentary about the place and also took the soundboard (its massive) from the studio and put it in his house. I'm not sure if the Sound City album was recorded in the Sound City studio or Daves home but the soundboard was used for the recordings. Fun fact: Foo Fighters used the board to record their album "Wasting Light" all on analog tape. If you bought the album upon its initial release, you also received a tiny bit of the analog tape in the packaging. It's a cool documentary and I think it's streaming on KZbin for free with ads

I am hesitantly gonna suggest something out of left field....I dunno if you'll go for music in another language but I think Dir En Grey's "Ain't Afraid To Die" would be something that interests you lyrically....as well as the lead singer Kyo just having a beautiful voice in it😆...but I digress. Still love your takes and honesty when it comes to music
