It shows a certain amount of respect towards that culture and shows your effort to become a part of that culture. I'm not saying forget your culture, but if you are looking at it for long term, then it's better from all perspectives. You learn one more language, you learn about one more culture, you make a few acquaintances/friends doing it, you are much more able to get your point across. What's wrong with that? First thought this as one of a new character added for a next level entertainment. @ 12:00 "do not be afraid of asking". While it is absolutely correct, I can not begin to tell you how much more easy it is for her as a white, female person. What additional helped, was that she came across Anurag Kashyap - one of the better people in Indian art industry to work with. Few people in India would be willing to accept this but if it was a black guy in her place, forget starting something as awesome as BhaDiPa, he would barely be able to write that 2 page report. Simple existence and overwhelming popularity of that shameful idea and terrible scam called "Fair & Lovely" is an indication of that.
