The vast majority of Muslims in the global south are non-denominational Muslims. It is Western Muslims that are naming, categorizing (and sometimes apologizing for) these phenomena.

Lmao history revisionism at best, hard core sect seperation is present in north African and middle east where Sunni tried wiping out shias with other minorities, and same is in Pakistan, the thing is sunni Muslim where they are minority and their culture has been minority are less sectarian or don't give sect importance for dominance of islam like of India,Sri Lanka... While in west most Muslim refugees settlers are from MENA region hence they are sectrian driven
