North Carolina needs to do the same as Florida and conduct an investigation of FEMA and its contractors. Qualified immunity does not protect government officials who violate the law, and they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for their criminal conduct.

I live on the other side of green mountain here in Yancey, i kept hearing stories about how bad Pensacola got hit, my 84 year old neighbor and I were stuck for about 5 days and her family showed up everyday to give us supplies. Her granddaughter who lives in Pensacola said she saw a trailer home floating down in the flood with the family screaming for help out the windows. RIP to all lives lost. I also kept hearing about FEMA confiscating supplies and blocking people from clearing roads and handing out supplies. The guy who owns the property next to the fire station on 19E in Burnsville said a large shipment of Starlink came in and FEMA intercepted them and last I heard they shipped them out of NC.

We have a family member that works in the USPS. Hundreds of packages have returned from the Asheville area stamped with return to sender. Whomever is up there is sending supplies BACK. THEY DON'T WANT THEM.

I saw a video recently of these guys exploring an abandoned building in Flint, Michigan. They discovered thousands and thousands of perfectly good waterbottles. This was an abandonded school. The number 1 thing they needed there was clean water. Yet it all gets left there in some building to never be used. That's the government for ya.

In Pa, the DHS (dept of human services) is part of DHHS (dept of health & human services) which runs ocyfs (office of children youth families services) & they absolutely can remove children from households. They go by many different names and acronyms.

I told them off so hard, let them know I am contracted and my company is completely independent and we don’t take orders from YOU! We have a contract. We both have to follow that agreement. I specifically put in MY contract with you that you cannot question my guys UNTIL a mistake is made. No micro-management needed. Go away! We turn in completed products, by contract! The effects of tropical storm Helene in western NC make the destruction in florida seem almost trivial. In florida, the storm surge rises and inundates properties, but not with the violence of the flash flooding and mudslides that occurred here. Florida will excavate the sand from their roads, and deal with the silt and mold left behind in their buildings, but the roads and buildings and people will still exist. Here, there are areas where roads can't even be rebuilt (the mountainside is gone), and the houses won't be rebuilt because they were literally wiped away in moments.

What’s going on with FEMA up in Michigan? Hearing there’s over 300-350 vehicles, locals there reporting how strange it looks and asking, what are they doing there and are they preparing for something? They sure left NC fast! What were they there, not quite 2 weeks? It’s wonderful to see how people jumped into gear and headed to NC, East TN and locals helping in SC and North Georgia, as well as Florida. Been hearing from locals in NC that there’s big corporations that want their land, and believe it’s a land grab, for lithium, possibly quartz and other minerals, but they definitely feel it’s about lithium there. Poor people! 😢

A water we bought was discontinued 9 months after that derailment, due to water not being suitable to drink. When I looked back into things it seemed they were still telling the locals everything was healthy. Odd. It was a Stop N Shop brand, no longer exists, they have a new brand name, water from a different area.

I told them off so hard, let them know I am contracted and my company is completely independent and we don’t take orders from YOU! We have a contract. We both have to follow that agreement. Videos of the day it happened are eye opening. Water and mud with trees flowing down stream as high as the tops of some trees. Cars floating and rolling down the gorge with houses floatong and the breaking into splinters. Horrible sight.

Adam is the epitome of hero, what a hero is and how he responds to situations, hats off to you Adam! I have watched hours and hours of video on this horrific event and I have a question. I haven't seen anyone using winches to help in removal, safety lining or binding hazardous trees or limbs while cutting, or just moving things out of the way. I build things. And stuff. I have 2 winches, a 4500lb and a 9000lb, they are mounted on receivers and the way they are built allows me to put them on my tractor, or trucks, I can chain them to trees, I can hang them in trees, or I can suspend them by trolley below a cable that is stretched over an area. They both have wireless remote, (Don't let the box fool you, the wireless remote that tractor supply sells CAN be used with a smaller than 8000lb winch, it's just a matter of reconfiguring the connection) and the batteries(AGM) in this configuration set in a tray that attaches to the receiver. The trolley can be pulled along the cable by rope, another winch or even a tractor or vehicle, depending on accessibility. I can send it out over a creek or pond, pretty much anywhere that there are trees or anything that is strong enough to support whatever is being pulled and high enough to keep the trolley and winch off the ground. I haven't built it yet but to charge the batteries in high drain situations, I think a small gas engine with a car alternator would work, I've even considered building that on a tank with a small air compressor setup for recharging the throw bag launcher that I use to set the trolley lines. Like I said I build things. And stuff. So the question is would something like that be useful up there?

You all need to seek donations of winter shelters from Ice Castle, Eskimo, Camping World, Cabela's, etc Hopefully the manufacturers are donating shelters. As a northern Minnesotan- millions of people go ice fishing in the winter, sitting on the lakes in 20, 30, 40 below ZERO with insane winds and sit comfortably in our 'ice shacks' sipping hot chocolate and eating pizza. Please don't freeze. Look to your resilient neighbors/business owners up north here for winter shelters and heating options. I'm personally disgusted with my dozens of wealthy "Baptist" relatives who live south of Asheville and aren't helping or offering a spot on their land for campers, etc. I have no obligations up here and can't even come down to help and stay with "family". May our Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on us all ☦️ My prayers for all of you are daily. I hope all the churches/ congregations down there are doing the Lord's work with all their proffers as they should be...
