What I love about finding channels that already have hundreds of videos is that I can just watch 'follow up videos' without having to wait. I SO wish I could just fast forward to the "we adopted Kai" video!

Wow what an amazing story. What courage at a young age to leave your abusive parent. Sometimes it takes just one person to say something to inspire you to achieve success. That family was a blessing who fed and encouraged you to go to university. Glad you made it, came here, have a beautiful home, and are giving a great life to all the foster kids lucky enough to be with you, and you with them. Happiness and health to you, Anthony, and Kai. You are known and a kind soul.

They need us, we need them. No truer words have been spoken. The teen years are fraught with danger, scum on the streets through to drugs and alcohol. To add to the problem the teenager's growing brain is so vulnerable to life long addiction. I'm so glad that their video gaming isn't driving you crazy! It's so much better than boozing.

I really enjoy listening to you. Your Ugandan dialect is very interesting to listen to, and I can easily follow along with what you are saying. I enjoy listening to people from other countries, its like a live world history and current events session...so many things to learn, see, do, and experience. Not sure how it is now, but when I was in school we always seemed to have 1 or 2 foreign exchange students in school...wow so fun to sit and talk to them and learn about their country, heritage, family, etc. There would be so much less hate in the world if people just sat down and got to know other people. Always something to learn from others. I graduated in 2001, I haven't stopped learning. Either from jobs, or from people I meet, you always learn something....I do need to install a larger memory card in my brain I'm forgetting, or overwriting data it seems though HAHA!! When I deployed to Iraq in 2004 wow, what a culture shock that was...I'd never been outside of a couple of states in the US, let alone another country...you know, it wasn't really that bad, yep a lot of adjustments of course, never really learned any of the language but a lot of them spoke English pretty well I was surprised. Really enjoyed the kids over there, they may have been poor but they didn't act like it. Here in the US, if you tell a kid they can't have an iPhone its like their lives are ruined forever....over there if you share a meal with a kid they think they're eating at a fancy restaurant. Very few problems with a lot of the people over there, its like here in the US, the majority of people are great, its the very small few that cause all the problems LOL.

Yeah, you’re doing a nice thing fostering and adopting children that need a loving family, but it would be nice if you adopted and/or fostered children of your own race. I’ve watched your videos for the past 2 years or so and didn’t know you lived in the same city as me until I saw your story on the news the other day and you and your adopted son’s t-shirt said families don’t have to look like one another. You also said “I’m a black guy from Africa who fosters kids that don’t look like me” and said you take in kids who need a home. I’m sure in your 6 years as a foster dad here in Charlotte you’ve seen plenty of black children who need homes and a loving family.
