From Drab to Fab! Another Day Another Renovation Vlog | Finally painting the walls...

In this video, we take you through the process of renovating a living room, transforming it from a dull and boring space to an almost fabulous and cozy retreat. We started by painting the walls and adding some texture with panelling on the chimney breast. Next, we tackled the fireplace and gave it a fresh new look with a coat of paint. We also added a concrete hearth for a modern touch.

Jack, you are such a Great Sport !!! You too, Naomi ! I believe, where you have bubbles behind wallpaper, you can stick in a pin to get the air out, and w a syringe/injector ... get some glue behind it, and flatten to wall. Great Job you two ! There's only so much you can do to very old buildings. Respect !

Apart from a magnificent work ethic, you two have a super sense of style. And Jack: I feel your pain when it comes to plastering. That said, the next time you're faced with plastering a wall, I bet you'll moan about it - but inside you'll jump at the opportunity. The possibility of perfectly plastering a wall is like climbing Everest (minus the frostbite, lack of oxygen and eating Kendal Mint Cake).

I wonder if a screed, like they use to make sure cement patios are level, would work on a plaster wall??? 🤔 They make straight edge metal ones. And I’d only use modern wallpaper that has backing like a sticker, so you can lift it and reapply with no bubbles.
