@ToldByBri5 жыл бұрын
I have 4c hair and when I do my twist outs I try not to put too much water in my hair. Just enough to Detangle slightly so I can run my product through my hair easily. Then I just let them dry overnight in a bonnet. Most of my hair is dry when I wake up, I may have a few wet spots but not many. My hair is also shorter then yours so that may be a reason why my hair air drys well.

I have dense, normal to high porosity hair. And my hair is around 3C 4A and I air dry most of the time. The only thing that gets my hair to dry over night is doing my hair on damp not wet hair. And also not using too much product for my hair to be saturated. But because I am so heavy handed it usually takes the night and maybe half of the day the next day
@biabia91815 жыл бұрын
The design essentials mousse is really nice it’s moisturizing, mixes with almost every product you pair it with (even rinse out conditioners), and it allows me hair to dry quick but I guess that’s a characteristic of most mousses. The DE mousse also smells good and makes it easy to detangle

I am low porosity as well and it takes my hair 3 days minimum to dry but I do prefer to air-dry since I leave my twists in as a style then do the twist out after. I have blow-dried my hair but that is normally at least an hour session which I don't got time for that. Your hair looks so fluffy and soft though and I might try the mousse trick

Next time since you have low porosity you should apply your leave in conditioner and oil, then blow dry your hair, and then do the twist out with design essentials curl enhancing mousse trust me you are going to love the results. applying extra styling products does nothing but weigh the hair down in my opinion especially with low porosity hair. I do this method on my clients that have a hard time absorbing moisture and in the end their hair is normally lightweight and bouncy.

You are absolutely correct. It’s just a function of the porosity of the hair. I have very low porosity hair too. It’s takes a good 2-3 days for twists to fully air dry. So annoying! i air dry my twist outs as well, it doesn’t take long for my twists to dry and thats because i dont do my twist outs on soak and wet hair. i like to do my twist outs on damp hair i think they come out better for me that way and they dry quick. that is a tip for you.
@verandaarmstead47325 жыл бұрын
My hair is a bit weird because it's considered "mixed porosity." Therefore, some sections would be dry within a few hours, and then some parts take up to 2 days to dry. With this particular situation, it's challenging to find a one-size-fits-all product.
@queen_j14225 жыл бұрын
NOT LYING...I have used many mousse products but one I found to be GREAT and NOT crunchy is The DOUX Mousse Def! My curls popped, there was not sticky residue nor crunchiness after a take down/wash n go! It worked PERFECTLY for my wash n go! Also, I remember you had an undercut, I'm currently growing mine out, it's been 3 months. It's fine if I wear my fro out, but I decided I was going to keep my hair braided through these cold months. So I don't wear my hair up but when I do I wear an extra hairband to hide the back. *smh* I've had a feeling to just cut cut it again but that would defeat the purpose of the past 3 months *smh* any other ideas on camouflaging it? Or do you think I should just cut the rest of my big fro so it can all grow out together?
