Bri Hall I definitely feel that prepooing and protective styling with yarn twists really helped my hair grow. I would oil my hair every other day or few days and because of the yarn it soaked up the oil and helped my hair grow so much.

Two braids with a side part and cross them in the back. My fav I’ll leave my hair alone until my scalp starts itching, which is about a month. Scalp health is important for hair growth.

EDIT: please still watch the full video guys. This is a SUMMARY but doesn’t go into detail about all the points made. She also points you to specific videos that can help you further ♥️ Summary: 1. Lock in moisture (she doesn’t use any on her scalp but does use grease or whipped shea butter) 2. Learn your hair porosity (porosity determines how your hair receives moisture) 3. Wearing stretched and protective styles 4. Hair steamer & greasing the ends of twist outs 5. Clay washes (bentonite clay to be specific) 6. Pre poo and deep condition 7. Style based on what’s healthy for your hair, not what’s the cutest (no super tight ponytails, etc) 8. Oil is your friend (: 9. Believe in yourself. Positive mindset = positive results. Great video Bri and blessings for 2020 🌱

Literally I grew my hair from shoulder length to the middle of my back in less than a year because I deep conditioned my hair weekly (I have SUPER high porosity hair) and sealed my moisture with hair grease!! Well technically it was hair food. I used the green grease called olive oil hair food and it smells like gummy bears and makes my hair so soft and moisturized!! I went swimming with my hair down in a chlorine pool for about 6 hours and when I went to wash and detangle my hair it wasn't dry AT ALL!! It was soooo soft and moisturized!!

I honestly don't see why the "natural hair community" go so hard on grease. Especially when that was something that most of us grew up on...grease was essential in my household as a child. And if you ask me I think it contributed to at least some of my hair growth. I think people just try so hard to stay ON TREND that they make a big deal out of nothing.

In 7 months, my hair went from 1/4 inch to 4+ inches. Most of my hair growth came from just leaving my hair alone. Headwraps were my absolute best friend for months.

My hair was thick throughout out Tho and it grew but not like now. I put braids and that helped but tbh with you last year I saw the most growth I've ever had and that was because I stop caring about length and just leave my hair alone and throw water on it a ton. Water is like key and I used hair grease. It's amazing when uk how to look after ur hair the right way it flourishes.

How often did you straighten your hair?
@caribbeanadams3345
@caribbeanadams3345 4 жыл бұрын
@@citygurl0105 Um I got my hair straightened three times. The first time my hair was fine. The second time some parts were a little loose. The third time a lot of my hair in front was straight. I believe that it was the way the stylist handled my hair. I was so upset because I had a lot of hair and it took a while to grow.

@@caribbeanadams3345 Nooooooo.... I just straightened my hair for the first time in 4 years and I was nervous. I straightened it anywhere from 350 to 400 depending on the texture in that part of my hair.... Did a protein treatment, used a good leave in and heat protectant and only passed through it 1 to 2 times. I just my texture too much to ruin it. Sorry for your mishap. It's hair. At least it grows and you can start over ❤❤

I literally just did the same thing last week. I cut off the front of my hair, because of heat damage. I’m trying to figure out if I want to cut it all even or not.

I used to use Ultra sheen (the blue one), and my hair grew. I still use the link lotion, I have also included ORS hair cream with nettle and horsetail. You all know that these two products grows your hair. I even include them in my auyurvedic on wash day. I do just like ShaRae Delasol does, let it sit overnight. It does wonders, and it won't take your hair out. I do one thing that I haven't seen on here, I put Infusion 23 professional leave in treatment on my hair before styling and let it dry. I've been using it for years and years. Works for me.
