3:33 is when i last heard about the game while watching catonmars and a guy called vurses on twitch as life got a bit too busy then on here your vids poped up and reminded me of it, as at the time it wasnt on console and thats the only platform i can play it on then since your vid reminded me i checked console once again and it was there now for the past month ive been binging the game, (i cant wait till the 20th for 1.0 on consoles), but thanks to you ive found an amazing game again haha

@@slick4415 the trick to getting gesture, get hermits to spawn on the maps with the HUGE ring overhangs, go to the top after they have started spawning, you are out of the map in places and watch the crabs, at some point they will try to walk across the ring bridges and will fall to their death. There's a lot of comments about "you missed x," and while I know that there's no way to include everything, I expected shaped glass meta to be mentioned. For those who don't know, you used to keep one shot protection with shaped glass, making it essentially an exponential buff to your damage every stack you picked up, with no downside.

You missed a few things. Like in Hidden Realms how the special bosses got nerfed making Alloy not suicide. Alternet utility for REX was actually added in Hidden Realms, and you forgot to mention the devil known as launch stone Titan elites

One of my favorite memories of version 1 of RoR 2 is checking the list of Twitch streams of the game, and seeing someone who was AFK in abyssal depths as engineer. The guy streaming literally wasn't even in the house because he started the stream before leaving, and wanted to know whether he'd survive or not. Considering it was at "that point" that caused enemies to stop spawning by the time I found it, it's safe to say he was invincible at that point.

I remember googling for any risk of rain content last year when the game first came out and stumbling across your channel back in April or shortly after you started uploading your first risk of rain content. Your channel helped solidify this game as one of my favorite games just through getting to understand it on a much higher level

I remember it was the day after my birthday and risk of rain 2 popped up in steam. It was the second pc game I ever got and I got it back when it was just commando huntress mul-t artificer and mercenary. This game is special to me because it was my first real intro to pc gaming.

I got the game in december 2019, so pretty close to its release but not Day 1. And I absolutely do not regret it a single bit (especially since it was a bundle that included RoR1 as well). What a hell of a game this is.

I saw a streamer, EvilToaster, play this game on stream. At the time I was obsessed with Overwatch, and played that most of the time. But I saw this wonderful Texan man playing this ridiculous game and thought, "what the heck, why not give it a shot?" Holy guacamole. From early access, to all the major updates, to just TODAY where I finally beat Mithrix on Monsoon difficulty, it's been a ride. And now, after dedicated several hours to this game, discovering that mods exist, and discovering your channel, I feel like the game still has so much potential for growth. This is truly a gem and a game that I will always be able to come back to when I feel like procrastinating on whatever IRL work I have to do.

Hey Mr. Streamer, just wanted to say thanks for all your videos, been struggling with Monsoon and I finally got my first god run today with huntress (and my first skin unlock!) I got double clover on the first loop, then got a Purity + Tonic + Gesture on my second blue portal, and cleared out the void for Brainstalks. It was nutty I ended up obliterating on my 5th loop after I was just holding M1 and M2 and watching the entire map disentegrate... anyway rambling. Good content keep up the good work!

For loaded there is a broken strategy for the finale boss. Get on top of the big pillar and distract the boss (for stage three) then drop down and press your R Power up and go back up with your power up

I watched this game from it's release and I just remember all of this stuff, it is bringing back such memories. RoR2 might be the poster boy for how to manage and develop for early access, I've never seen any game do everything so perfectly as they did throughout the entire development process, making big promises and mostly keeping them, including almost all of the milestone target dates, which is just unheard of if you know anything about game development. The thing this makes me remember was the June Update old school Guillotine combo with Wake of Vultures, where the Guillotine had a 20% ish chance of killing YOU instantly when you would inherit Elite traits with Wake of Vultures. I used to have a clip of it happening but the streamer since deleted that clip much to my dismay.

I am SO glad that this game is doing well! I got it back last fall on PS4 when it was still pre-Hidden Realms and let me tell you, if it weren't for playing with friends to unlock the other characters, I might have quit. Commando just wasn't fun before the patch, making getting everything else a slog. Thankfully, I unlocked Huntress, got more into the meta of the game, found one of YOUR vids, Woolie and the rest, as they say, is history. 1.0 is coming to consoles soon and I've got some catching up to do!

You should totally play the first Risk of Rain a bunch. While I love RoR2, RoR1 had a lot of wild, different stuff in it. Personally, I liked the survivors/abilities of the first game better than the second, especially because many of them were just so wildly different. The Sniper was my favorite, and I hope dearly that he makes a return in RoR2--a survivor that had a single-shot sniper rifle that had to be reloaded after every shot but did great single-target damage. A charged shot that could do a LOT of damage in a line (penetrating through enemies) if fully charged. A backflip that proved vital for a survivor that needed to keep a distance from the enemy while also reloading constantly. The reloading mechanic was kind of like the Gears of War style active reload system, where a well-timed reload will result in a faster reload and bonus damage for the next shot, while a mistimed reload would result in a much longer reload. And his ultimate, which spawned a drone that granted you major crit/bonus damage to the single most dangerous target on screen. But there were others--like the robot chef, who would throw big butcher knives at enemies and cook enemies to death, or the guy with a big shield that you could stick into the ground to become immune to all projectiles and melee damage from that side while also being able to fire your shotgun in that direction. There were also some pretty great items, like the platinum jetpack (which acts like a jetpack), or the Ice Storm (red tier)--which, unlike its RoR2 counterpart, was actually really good and could act like Ceremonial Daggers do in RoR2 (but more balanced). I also liked the final level a lot more than in RoR2 (which is almost entirely a huge stretch of empty space), though Mithrix is a lot harder than Providence.
