From Emotional Intelligence to Spiritual Intelligence

It is 20 years since Daniel Goleman brought Emotional Intelligence to our attention. At the time he was laughed at - now it's main stream. But there is a level beyond Emotional Intelligence and that is Spiritual Intelligence. The SQ21 tool identifies 21 skills relating to SQ each one with 5 levels of competence. In this short presentation Geraldine outlines this approach to Spiritual Intelligence and why it is needed.

Nice and effective presentation of complex subject with clarity and appropriate perspective. The world leadership today is acknowledging the role of SQ. Twenty to thirty years down the line the SQ would enable some sense in business leadership and enable more balanced and humane approach in running the corporate.

Thanks very much for your comment. I think you are absolutely right that people are (slowly) beginning to wake up to SQ. It took many years for EQ to become mainstream. I have no doubt that it will the same with SQ. And our leaders need SOMETHING for goodness sake. Valid concepts and observations! Yet, to have "Higher Self" as a goal is in my opinion (and I explored and followed this option for years (of prodigal living...)) EGO. It is still worship of the self, which is worship of Creation... which is wrong; Only The Creator (YHWH, "I AM THAT I AM" as He told to Moses at the burning bush...Oneness in Trinity) is worthy of worship. When we settle for less we are doing 'our selves' a disservice, harm even. One key is to realize we can't do it ourselves...We can't 'work on ourselves' to a point of eradicating sin (selfishness, evil, ignorance...). To think we can is to lower the bar of Divinity and Heaven... YET, by Grace, YHWH sent Yahshua (aka. Jesus Christ) who lived a Perfect Life -Thereby establishing innocence and holiness in humanity, "Emmanuel" (God with us)...and He paid the price (Yes, there are debts, sins, aka KARMA which we can't pay!)...His suffering, death, perfect blood, paid it all and we are invited by grace into fellowship with THE MOST HIGH, SOURCE...but we have to realize that we are CONTIGENT beings. We are not on an equal playing field with The Most High, Our Heavenly Father (who, yes, also encompasses and possesses male and female qualities -yet, Yahshua directed us to pray to "Our Father"...The Masculine is to be addressed...)...This is resonant with what was mentioned about how the ego (self) is only free when "In JOYFUL SERVICE!"... We are adopted as sons and daughters, children and beloved of Our Creator...and in Knowing Him and His beloved Perfect Eternal "Only Begotten" Son, is Eternal Life, "ALL THE TREASURES OF WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE"...and only then, by His Spirit, Mercy and Grace, can we be Holy, Loving, Wise, Compassionate...
