Am pretty sure his new family are a very kind, generous people. God bless them! but as an Ethiopian, was changing his original first name necessary?

So true.

D F Wale it's ok changing name doesn't hurt at all. His identity is his DNA. It doesn't go away by just changing his name. I am just glad they gave him a proper home and a family to love. These are the type of people who should adopt. Not like those couples who adopted 30 of them and none of them get proper care or a place to call home and finally ended up a homeless!!!
@lechatnocternal48175 жыл бұрын
@@lifetree7177 Not really 'cause the parents just seem like they are trying to detach the kids from their culture, which is a big part of a person's identity

They should never change their 1st name that's their identity
@hilaryc32036 жыл бұрын
Changing their names helps assimilate them into their new culture. No offence to Americans, but there is such a lot of racism and intolerance for anything 'foreign' in the USA these days, that every little bit helps. Most adopting parents leave the first name as a second. He and his brother are happy with a great life; that's the most important thing.
