Better lines and higher speed through the corners quickly lead to higher top speed on the straights on this track, because there are so many corners. If he can exit a corner in a higher gear than his opponent he will be able to accelerate to higher speeds more quickly than they

This is multi-class. He is in first position in his class (that is the fastest) all the time and is overtaking cars of lower classes that are slower than his car

Expanding what the others said about multi class: the IRacing 24h of Nurburgring has GT3,GT4,Porsche Cup,TCR and Toyota GR86 Cup cars all over the grid (some classes might or not be present in the stint,mostly by participation),with the GT3 class being the overall fastest of the classes by grip and raw speed.
