They look great but I think I'll stick to my scrollsaw ones. Have a Merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Hehe got few ones that I made with a scrollsaw and yes I will agree those are way cooler 😁👍 Merry Christmas mate🎄🎅👍

Both the hand burnt and laser burnt decorations finished up nicely. While I think the laser is a nifty tool I prefer the hand made versions. Good stuff! Cheers 👍😎🇦🇺

Yes the handmade version has got more "character" to it and its more personal👍 Thanks for watching 😁

Nice job and video. Thanks for sharing. How much faster is the laser engraver than doing it by hand?
@CasualDIY2 жыл бұрын
Thank you. Its about 70% faster.👍
@hansdegroot85492 жыл бұрын
@@CasualDIY You are an early bird! 70% faster. Does that mean that for example hand burning takes for example 5 minutes and with a laser engraver only 1 minute and a half?
@CasualDIY2 жыл бұрын
@@hansdegroot8549 no, it means my hand burning is taking 15 and the laser takes about 4 🤣 but that depends how you set up the laser. It can go a lot faster than that I just wanted to have deeper lines so it was set up to 1000 ( can't remember exactly what is said next to that number ) speed. Usually I use 2500-3000 setting.

@@CasualDIY Thanks for explaining. Btw what is the diameter of the log? And what would you do if the diameter of the log is bigger than the "mouth" of your saw? Would you use a table saw with a cross cut sled (and eventually turn the log if the blade height is not sufficient)?
@CasualDIY2 жыл бұрын
@@hansdegroot8549 it was 8cm, I think my bandsaw can take up to 15cm. If I had something bigger than 15cm I would probably use my chainsaw 🤣

It's called handmade not laser made for a reason Tomasz 😂 both came out looking great, and if you think your handmade line work is rubbish then you haven't seen mine then 😂 but i think i will stick with the handmade version for that personnel one of a kind touch, each one has different rubbish lines.
