This is a beautiful home, lots of great Architectural details. Back in the day, I used to do all those Faux walls. It's very expensive to do. But there's some large rooms in that home. I love it. ❤❤❤

Not into gothic style but I love the stained glass at 3:21. I would totally hang that in my window. Edit: Thank you Sofie for resisting the urge to cover the beautiful, unique woodwork with paint! And the light walls make it look even better!

It was over the top originally, but was totally soulless in the end. She could have lightened it up and remove some of the terrible pieces of furniture, but left some of the more original and interesting pieces. Personally I think that would have had more impact.

All of her designs are like that. Strip all identity paint everything white, beige, greige, or that horrible washed out green. Make artwork out of trash that in the end is still trash.

Every time, light colors, light furniture, less furniture, declutter. Also great advice for homes your living in. I got a storage unit for the camping and diving gear, and got a cream velour slipcover for our couch and every season I empty my counters of knick knacks and decor till they are 75% clear. My tiny apartment looks way better. Thanks Sofie!

The “new” cupboard doors in the kitchen don’t match the existing at ALL!! Not the same stain color and they don’t have the same door fronts! SMH!! Curtains should be hung HIGH and WIDE over windows! So many times this show hangs the curtain rods on the trim🙄 And the rugs are always too small! If the whole piece of furniture can’t fit on the rug at LEAST the front legs should sit on the rug!

Durn it. They ruined another gorgeous unique house! And as of the end of this video, it still hadn't sold yet. And describing a person's home as scary and creepy is really rude! It was beautiful. And that purple floral carpet was awesome!

If I were him I'd get rid of the girlfriend..she will try everything to change him into her model. That's not love! Love is about making comprimes, think she's not capable of making any. No good signs all over this couple is not going to make it in real life and then he has lost his nest.... She's constantly belittling him....

This is a museum and not a house for most people. It’s something precious to him but I wouldn’t even go past the first room. I feel like there’s some lady in the next room ready to read tarot cards. When it comes to selling, you have to let go and not take it personally. I remember twenty years ago when we were selling our home in Vermont, the realtor said just because you have marble and a jacuzzi in your master bathroom doesn’t mean the new owners will like it🤷‍♀️. I get it but it hurts.😔
