A fun & informative video as always but just to mention - Teoh Yi Chie did review Paperlike last August and said it was overpriced. At the time Paperlike cost $40 and he found it no better than $15-20 matte screen protectors. Hopefully Paperlike prices are more reasonable now and hopefully artists (that I like & subscribe to) are doing their due diligence about the value of products before accepting sponsorships (and checking their online colleagues' reviews). Viewers have to decide if its worth it to pay double or more than double to have a name-brand being pushed on sponsored posts by youtubers / influencers. Wow, Matt- I’ve been using digital as a medium for about two years and love it, but I do struggle with keeping that “traditional” medium look. This tutorial is so inspiring and enlightening! It was a lightbulb moment and now I’m so pumped to start a new piece. I hope you feel good about your gap year and taking time to explore art as a career- I really think this is your calling. This is honestly so helpful thank you! I don't have procreate (for some reason I chose a Samsung tablet lol), so I use Autodesk Sketchbook and it means I have to be more creative with getting the effects that procreate makes available! But I've never understood how to use the blending modes so thank you :)

Paperlike, i think it's great especially when you're a beginner in digiart. It's easier, and if you want to "preserve" the traditional art and drew it as digital, then paperlike i think will be great, my opinion. Btw, it's cool Matt
