It's finally here! I just got my dream TV, the 77" Sony A95L! I've been eyeing this display for over year. Find out why I decided to go with this TV, my favorite options, how games and movies look and perform as well as the things I'm not a big fan of. Enjoy!

Hey Everyone! Just a heads-up, although this video went live in September, I had recorded and edited this in June/July. At that time, Panasonic had yet to announce their return to the US market so I did not mention them as a potential option in this video. Regardless, I hope you all enjoy, thank you!

The S90C is the best value I've seen in a long while, it's why I made a point to recommend it here as well. Also, I won't lie but I had argued with myself over the same thing for months before making the final decision. Way I see it, it's a long term investment and I don't see myself upgrading this until we get somewhat affordable QD OLEDs (or Micro LED) in a 90"-100" size bracket hitting 4000 nits.

This is hands down the best TV you can buy if your main use case is not gaming. I have the 77 A95L for all my non gaming content and a G4 for my PC gaming monitor. Although the G4 come fairly close, there is something special about the A95L's picture quality.

Ya, when PC gaming is factored in you can definitely get more out of the competitors. As I'm only playing consoles on this display, a lot of those extras didn't necessarily apply. A trade off for the better image quality I suppose lol.

Back to back King of TV's 2023 + 2024 for a reason. 👑 Sure that decision between a 83" G4 and smaller 77" A95L ain't easy, but only the A95L will give you those Dreamlike QD Oled colors. 🎇 And don't come with the Bravia 9. Nope, it can't compete with this Monster.

I was in the markets 2 months ago for a new tv to replace my c1 oled, I looked for hours at the g4 and the a95l, and I got the sony. Love my a95l. The tv is magical!!! Looked way better than the g4 especially the colors and picture!!

Awesome! Ya, I knew I didn't want to give up Quantum Dot from my Samsung. Although the G4's increased brightness was tempting, I heard when it's actually calibrated it's not as substantial an upgrade when compared to the A95L. Either way, I can't find a single thing about the image to complain about here.
@MISTERMASTER1234

@@IndustrialGamer not only that, the g4 was brighter, sure. But the g4 loses color like obviously when you compare it to a qd oled, lg g4's higher brightness literally washes out the color that's normal because of the WOLED panel and this is how it works because of the white subpixel, And the A95L is better overall for hdr, it has a much wider rec2020 coverage.

The difference between TV's is getting very close, is a Sony QD OLED A95L twice as good as a Samsung S90D QD OLED? No, does it have some better specs, yes. In seperate rooms I argue most consumers would not see the difference.

For me yes, afterall you're looking at your TV every day. Not having that Sony XR Processor is definetly a downgrade that would annoy me. Afterall I wanna spend my money for Eye candy. Only the Sony picture IS the definition of Eye candy, which then never makes me regret having spend that money. However I couldn't live with a inferior Samsung image that looks almost blurry and washed out in comparison to the XR Processor. Samsung boys don't admit but are simply just jealous of Sony owners, sry.

Isnt Sony always criticized for not having standardized and utra life like colors and instead having a cooler more bluish like calibration? „Its cooler more bluish calibration is off from perfect natural calibration but is surely going to be liked by customers due to it being very relaxing for the eyes. Also to achieve those great brightness peaks it gives up a natural white point. But its no product for purists“ sth like this. I feel like the non plus ultra for color accuracy would be Panasonic no? It always gets huge praise. But its so expensive, only available in 65“ which would be fine for me but some want bigger and the design is… it looks a bit outdated. But especially for older games Sony is always a good choice with its reality creation. It surely can handle those low resolutions better and make them look less blurry than much of the competition like Samsung or idk

Yes, Sony does indeed target a judder to D65 which comes in a bit cooler from reference. From what I've read though, their BVMs ship out with the same judder, then a calibrator goes in and targets to D65. I've also heard that Panasonic is highly regarded as being accuracy kings when it comes to out of the box performance, but at the time I recorded this video, Panasonic hadn't announced their return to the US and I don't think they currently offer a 77" size anyway.
