I’m at mis back length in my hair journey. I was like you noticed I haven’t got a professional trim the whole of 2020 besides me trimming my own ends at home. I got my first professional trim in May 2021. My goal is to get to waist length for now. One tip I would give others is moisturize & leaving your hair alone.
@MelissaDenise3 жыл бұрын
Great tip!!! Yeah I truly feel like as far as trims the professional route is the way to go!

I did a big chop last year and my hair has gained about 8 inches. I use hair grease and water. My hair is growing like crazy.

I went natural in 2013, did BC 6 months afterwards on July 4, 2014...from shoulder length to my ears! It is now Mid-back length!🙌🏽 I believe, 1 Cor.11:15, doing protective styles, rice water, my YL essential oils(w/ grapeseed as carrier oil, and Sulfurzyme, help it to get to this length!❤ Also I challenged myself with MD's Hair Challenges 😍, it gave me a Goal to obtain!TY MD!👍🏽💕

I am in another transitioning state. Achieved my goal of long natural healthy hair. Decided to venture into alot of braids & then microlinks. The links were straight most of the time which caused alot of damage to my own hair. Now I am in the process of nursing my hair back to health. Actually started my Channel this time. Feel free to follow my journey. Love you Mel!

Relaxers always I mean always burnt me too. Even to the point where I'd wake up with scabs on my scalp the next morning & that was with a regular strength kids relaxer! We tried several different brands as well. I remember balling my eyes out as a child my head was on fire we'd have to wash out early sometimes. So I feel you girl. Still burns me as an adult. I'm now 7 months post relaxer and transitioning to natural for the first time & I'll be 25 next week so I been getting relaxers for a long time but not anymore. 😇

I feel like my 4C hair is at a stand still tbh. It's been like this for years. I big chopped in 2016. I think my health plays a part but would love to push past it. I've started to be on top of my trims, hopefully that helps.

This is one of your longer ones but I still love it 🥰 I used to didn't like or comment because I wasn't to keen regarding social media smh 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

If you are doing protective styles do you think it’s okay to do protein treatment every 6 weeks?
@427skies3 жыл бұрын
I would do it. I don't do protective styles but hair still loses proteins even in protective styles.
@pualenaisz44033 жыл бұрын
Jah Page, I think that's a good space of time. At least monthly, if you experience any excessive shedding or hair loss. Protein treatment help yo strengthen the hair shaft. I found that rice water helps. But I'm low porosity, so I do only monthly. You can do 2x month if high porosity. Melissa Denise has video about protein treatments. I prefer trying natural protein solutions to strengthen my hair. Find out what works best for You!👍🏽❤
@MelissaDenise3 жыл бұрын
Yes definitely!! That sounds like a great Idea. You should get one every 4-6 weeks.
@luvmyjujuntootie3 жыл бұрын
@@pualenaisz4403 thanks I didn’t even think about doing a natural protein.
