I noticed this after a rewatch. So, Frank's family dies, and Frank is about to die, too, right. And his name is Frank. And then Jade shows up. Jade is from France. Some would say Jade is a Frank. I'll go even further, Jade is a Gaul, he's got to have some druidry blood in his veins. I'll go even further, these type of mystery movies/shows love to reference France as the place where Christ's family line would be from, if Christ did actually have children. "The goddess of wisdom has appeared in nearly every society in a variety of different manifestations, including Athena, Greek goddess of wisdom and military victory; Minerva, the Roman goddess of wisdom and war; Tara, the Buddhist goddess of compassion who teaches the wisdom of non-attachment; and Inanna, an early Sumerian Goddess. Sophia, whose name in Greek means “wisdom,” is connected to the different incarnations of sacred female knowledge and to those goddesses listed above. Sophia is one of the central figures of Gnosticism, a Christian philosophical movement with uncertain origins that most likely originated in ancient Rome and Persia. Gnosticism emphasizes individual knowledge and wisdom as the path to salvation and oneness with God. Its followers worship Sophia as both divine female creator and counterpart to Jesus Christ. According to Gnostic beliefs, Christ was conceived of as having two aspects: a male half, identified as the son of God, and a female half, called Sophia, who was venerated as the mother of the universe. Sorry. I'm a huge mythology nerd.

Victor has been there since he was about Ethan’s age, and implied he was there for a time by himself… I would expect him to know quite a bit. He just never wants to talk about anything.

Father Khatri was absolutely right in his conviction. The people of this town and Colony House are in a new and dangerous situation. This is their brave new world and they must learn to navigate it if they are to survive. The LEAST Frank should have done is nail those windows shut. From this episode, we can see that Frank has been warned multiple times publicly by the man who upholds the law in this town. I completely understand why Boyd is reluctant, Frank seems like a nice guy honestly but Boyd HAS to enforce the rules HE set up or the whole town will fail. People died because Frank was careless and Boyd cannot let that become a pattern.

What if the two blood symbols control the two occurrences in the town: 1.)The endless loop in and out of town and 2.) the night monsters returning every night. In addition, I think the monster could be the dead citizen of the town (reanimated by one of the blood symbols), and Victor, the boy in white and whoever's behind this are all connected. Perhaps little Martin.

Right! I’m surprised no one else is talking about this. Like wtf ur mad because you didn’t get to go look at a house??????? Did you forget how scared you were when you saw that pipe sticking out of his leg?! I’m surprised she was so willing to leave him to be looked after by someone else she didn’t even know just because she wanted to look at a house?! Like did she forget she protected him from the creepy dude (even if I think he knows more than he lets on and is just unintentionally creepy), like ur parents don’t trust these people-but they trust YOU! To look after your brother! Why that so hard for some older siblings to do, I’ll never know

Theory timeeeee The man in the picture of Victor is called Cristopher (show credits) and has Victor said to Ethan, two cars arriving in town doesnt Often happen, but it had append once, a long time ago (Victor's childhood).. to me, Victor may have been in One of those two cars (like Ethan) and Cristopher on the other one (like Jade) .. Christopher started to see that symbol (he had many drawings on that journal) and possibly had visions equal to those that Jade had, and those visions probably made Christopher snap and do something terrible in town... I think thats whats gonna happen to Jade, he will snap, lose his mind and do something terrible.... Your taughts???

I full on thought that Frank was going to hang himself from the swing when Sheriff Boyd gave him the chance to leave town. Frank definitely wanted to die to be with his wife and daughter and it would have been a less painful and quicker death. As for Julie choosing Colony House rather than being with her family in town, I doubt you can find one teenager who would pass up the opportunity to live without their parents’ supervision and be with a younger, cooler and more free-wheeling group of people who live in a hedonistic manner. Having been a teenager in the late 70s/early 80s and raised 3 children (all in their 20s now), I firmly believe that there is no demographic who believe that they are bulletproof more than teenagers. I think that’s the case with Julie - she’s aware of the danger of the monsters but thinks she’ll be fine, especially after having come face-to-face with one and surviving.

Before I speak about the mythology, can I campaign about some weak writing, in my opinion? Why was is soley dad's fault that those windows weren't nailed shut. Why didnt the mom do it? Hell, why didn't Boyd put a team together and go do c to every house in town??? How is Boyd going to be that judgemental after what happened with Abby? Just saying.

Julie pissed me off! Not the appropriate time for teen angst! I am not feeling good about Jade's future. I sense annoying trouble with him. And I salut Frank for his decision. It couldn't have been easy. I was hoping he would've survived. But that ending was a bit relieving in a way. And even though Vic is somewhat helpful in this episode....still CREEPY! And Ethan is annoying with too many questions!

@@nataliawashington872 I get the teen mentality, but honestly in this situation I could see her regressing to a younger state for comfort. But as someone else pointed out, she knew about their divorce and may not have found them a secure space. STILL! The way my mom would have snatched my arm and drug me with her! One thing I am finding odd, and not sure if it's intentional yet, is that whenever a character has a blow up everyone just stands around or doesn't acknowledge it? Like in what reality are you ok just having a man (the dad) yell at a seemly mentally regressed person? Or at least explain what is going on with him? Everyone just seems super ok finding out zero facts about each other???

@@mambojazz1 honestly tho, the first thing I'm doing if I have a kid and I live in this town, I'm nailing the windows shut. They were both clowns for not doing that first and foremost. Secondly, even if they didn't, the mama shoulda dragged that girl away from the damn window as soon as she saw her talking to the monster. You already know if that was a black or Hispanic mama, they would’ve snatched em away from the window before they opened it, closed the curtains and whopped the kid upside the head with a shoe or a chankla. That kid would be staying in Mama’s room that night. NO EXCEPTIONS! 😂

@Emilysiegel533 Жыл бұрын
@@jadakissable9 I asked ChatGPT to tell me more: The TV show "From" and the book "The Cosmic Puppets" by Philip K. Dick share several similarities in their themes and plot elements. Firstly, both the TV show and the book deal with the idea of reality being subjective and potentially mutable. In "From," the characters experience strange and unexplainable phenomena that challenge their understanding of what is real. Similarly, in "The Cosmic Puppets," the protagonist encounters a strange town that seems to exist outside of normal reality, and begins to question the nature of his own existence. Secondly, both works explore the theme of identity and self-discovery. In "From," the characters are forced to confront their past traumas and learn to accept and understand themselves in order to move forward. Similarly, in "The Cosmic Puppets," the protagonist undergoes a journey of self-discovery as he tries to uncover the truth about his existence and the nature of reality. Finally, both the TV show and the book feature surreal and dreamlike imagery and settings. "From" often utilizes strange and abstract visuals to convey its otherworldly themes, while "The Cosmic Puppets" takes place in a surreal, dreamlike town that defies logic and reason. Overall, "From" and "The Cosmic Puppets" share several key themes and elements, including a focus on the mutability of reality, the journey of self-discovery, and surreal and dreamlike imagery.

As far as Frank is concerned, I'd demand for an appeal! What about the Mom? Is she totally unable to find some nails and swing a hammer to nail a window shut? Couldn't she "Honey Doo" Frank? (All you Feminist's out there take notice.) **Oh! Something went wrong! Quick! Kill the White guy!** I mean, nobody seemed to really investigate this thing. *however* Nobody seems to communicate things around here either. (Jeez, what happened in the woods?....."Uh...I don't know...) Something you talked about struck a chord. Victor and Ethan. Victor is kinda stand offish, which includes Ethan until he finds out that Ethan has seen the Boy in white. Maybe, just maybe Victor sees Ethan as Victors replacement. Victor has been there so long. No one else has seen the B.I.W. Now Ethan shows up, sees the boy and Victor thinks "Now I can get outta here because Ethan will take over for me!" Annnnd what would Victor do to get Ethan to take over? I can't say it will go in this direction, and if it did is Victor being delusional or being manipulated somehow?
