I've not watched much of this show but I really like Alteori's theory that these creatures are some kind of Fae. As in old Celtic spirits. That kind of sadistic sense of humour pops up a lot in their legends.

They actually didn't show quite a few bodies. The couple of bus people Fatima and Ellis saw with the monsters outside for instance. They definitely got killed but we are never shown their bodies. We never see the body of the bus guy under the house get picked up by the town either. I think they want us to assume their bodies were discovered and buried off screen.

Lost tv series was before my time, but omg if it was anything like this show, I now COMPLETELY understand why that show is always included in every "shows that frustrated us/"shows that started off great but ended terribly" article I've seen over the years. This show has SO much potential to be great. It IS great at so many moments, but it is totally incomprehensible how we're 3 years in and just as confused and without answers as we were in the first season of the very first episode of the series. Like damn give the audience SOMETHING concrete. The show is just spinning wheels and dragging out giving us the most basic backstories for the sake of them justifying a dozen seasons. 😤

Everything about these monsters is horrifying! Especially knowing what they do to you once they have you cornered. Some of the gore in this show is top notch. I keep watching hoping we’ll get an answer on what they actually are soon… My biggest problem though is we only see the aftermath from the kills. Call me dark if you will, but I want to see the kill in action and not off screen. Calling these monsters the tip of the spear has me absolute;y wanting to know who is controlling them.

The way this scene was thought of was great. Instead of the guy entering the bus and directly spotting them, he was enjoying his newfound toy and then later everything else follows. This adds to the creepy factor. And add to that- the couple were made elderly, so that you feel for them And that guy- you dont need to mention about him.
