My main gripe with this show: the people in town will talk about ANYTHING irrelevant and bore us to death with it but never discuss anything to escape the place. I'm amazed at how they can talk for hours about childhood memories but not about the strange things that happen around there.

Dude, this epidodes is increasing my theory on "Dark City" vibes even more! My opinions in the parasites didn't change, but seriously take a 90 degree turn now. What of only Nighmares can kill Nightmares. That still will make Boyd one of them. Second: I didn't expect my "favourite" Nightnare to die! Smiley Gary was the creepiest of all of them and kind of their leader. Finally, this episode is freaking creepy! It didn't need gory pr blood to get my nerves at edge Damn good! Everybody giving mad disrespect to Elgin in this episode. When Ellis got stabbed at Colony House, everyone was panicking except Elgin, and he was the only one who stepped up. He ran outside by himself into the night, dodged the monsters, got the van, masterfully drove to the hospital, and helped Fatima carry Ellis to safety. He did all that without getting himself or anyone hurt. He didn’t even crash the van! And that was probably the most exciting scene in the entire series so far. Nobody, not even Boyd or Ellis, thanked him, or even acknowledged him after that! Meanwhile, Ellis didn’t even get hurt trying to save someone or help someone. He literally just got stabbed by accident, and every one treats him like a hero. Like what?

i think the worms attuned boyd to some kind of psychic/electromagnetic frequency. maybe explains why kelly started screaming when she had the metal rod in her head. said this on another channel, but i think the monsters might not be individual consciousnesses, but are instead are all different physical vessels of a hive mind. there’s this sort of child like quality to the monsters and are all dressed for specific roles like action figure or army men or whatever. like murder legos. when the monster died, all of them were confused and left immediately. like a kid breaking a toy or losing a game and storming off to sulk. maybe theses things don’t know what they are, or what the rules of their own existence are. makes me think of the jim and tabithas house being toppled and how the “puzzle” jenga game the creepy kids and ethan play sort of mirrors that. a lot of the weirdness revolves around childhood and games, ethan and victor being the most obvious and the boy in white and the dirty kids in white. the last thing was boyd basically playing tag with the monster and making the monster “it” lol

I'm starting to think Smiley will either turn into a daywalker vampire, or back into a human But the next episode synopsis seems to imply the doctor might perform an autopsy on him. Perhaps it wakes up during that autopsy and goes on a rampage Another thing to note, boyd now has smileys blood in him, does that mean he will slowly turn into a monster? (A bit like a vampire biting someone and turning them). I also noticed a funny blooper around the 20 minute/28 seconds mark, the asian lady is supposed to be picking up food from one container and putting it in another, but she's just grabbing at air.

There were a bunch of bloopers this episode. When Donna, Fatima and Ellis are loading food into the truck the stabby guy brings out the potato’s and says this is the last of it. There are three containers sitting on the table. Fatima grabs one and Ellis grabs another and the potato’s are still sitting there but when Ellis loads his I think corn onto the truck he says that was the last of it. So either that was a blooper or no wonder there is a food shortage with people just leaving food everywhere it will spoil or get lost lol jk

Here's what I would do to survive/win: 1. Get about half of the town to start chopping down trees. I want a 1 mile radius clear view around the town so that mosters have no where to hide. 2. Compartmentalize living arrangments more. More individual houses (built with the newly acquired lumber) so that accidents are localized to one house. Colony house is a buffet if even one window is compromised. 3. Build a high AF, enclosed watch tower with radio a comms system for someone to keep watch and alert each house of the movements of the monsters. 4. Experiment on the monsters: a. Let's see what a molotov trap does to one of them. b. Trap one under a cage built of of scrap car parts. Make it heavy and wait for the sun to come up. c. Let's see what some battery acid does to one of them in another trap like the bucket over the door prank. d. Seal up their cave entrance or booby trap it for when they come out. See a. and c. e. There has to be a bear trap somewhere around. f. Electrify a puddle of water and see what happens if one of them walks into it. The whole idea is to become unmanageable. No bad ideas. Just try everything and see if something works. Even better if the moster get annoyed by the antics. Safety first, teamwork second. And don't forget to have fun.

ethan is a really great young actor, but i appreciate the writhers pulling away from ethan being the front lead of the show, because this season hold a more potent seriousness of the show, where as having ethan front leading in season 1 didn't portray the show in a serious undertone or suspense anxiety undertone, with ethan it felt ilke everything gonna be OK like that show bittersweet, like a fantasy adventure, but now this season is focus more on the adult, I'm more on the edge and always looking behind my back while watching the show

I do think it’s funny they can’t believe the story he tells considering they are magically stuck in this town with monsters. Like clearly anything is possible 🤯. It’s obvious there is mystical forces at play here. We just don’t know what yet. I was thinking that Elgin was going to be a psychic and later on reveal some things. Smiley is dead and I bet the blood worms cannot be transferred to the monsters so it’s in his son him or both. They can use this to wipe of the monsters though which if this show is anything like lost they are the tip of the iceberg and that will just make way for another thing.

I think Victor has a lot more answers than we're being told. I'm curious as to why a lot more people aren't talking about how it's even possible he survived in this place as a child long before the talismans were even discovered. If you try to tell me he just had a really good hiding spot that would be the sloppiest, laziest writing of all time. Every time someone presses him he gets upset and he told Jade "you shouldn't be asking these questions." Whether he has a reason or he's just too traumatized to speak of it, he knows something. When Sara was instructed to "kill the boy" I think Victor is who it was referring to. He was a boy once and practically still is a child in a man's body. He draws literally everything that happens to him, there has to be one or more that offers a big clue to something.

I haven’t seen anyone mention thought I’m sure it’s been thought, but this whole show reminds me of maze runner, the first book/movie. They know that there are monsters and they can’t go outside the walls out night, but eventually they come to the understanding that even if things get worse, they need to keep pushing out to ascertain the truth of where they are and what’s happening to them. I hope that they take a van into the woods with a talisman and make a habit to be a “maze runner” in mapping the woods like Victor kinda does. I have such hope for this show, I’m hooked.

I mean kenny saying that boyd is on path of dementia WTF & dismissing boyd about his experiences in the woods when infact they are literally in a supernatural place where Nightcrawlers come & kill them 😠 What kind of writing is this. Episode 6 is the first time this season we get a plot point that actually moves the story forward, with 4 episodes left to go. Pure filler. I'm honestly baffled by the quality drop from season 1 to season 2. They executed on a good concept, got my attention, then proceeded to change all the characters, change the rules, remove the monster threat, etc. They also messed up the pacing since it feels like I'm watching paint dry every episode, with every character just bickering and being melodramatic about literally everything. It's just bad writing.

I'm with you... this show has some good acting but... they need to wrap this up.... Boyd should not have used all his worms on one dude ...lol. After I saw the guy chained to the wall I was done... and now a "last of us" ballerina...lol ..These monsters move like molasses..lol.. you would think they would have built a trap for these things by now... I will continue to watch... But this show is stupid

This episode was so good. They could go so many ways with the worms. In the hospital it seems everyone was willing to get the worms to save Ellis. I wish every episode was like this one. They are taking their time because they want more seasons probably but damn hurry it up lol advance the story

The "monsters" are offspring of people who have had kids while in the immersive software that operates via the users imagination created by Jade. My theory is that Jade developed the new tech for a theme park throughout the globe, but didn't anticipate that offspring of those who played the game would become sentient, terrorize the users, and circumvent the algorithms of the application, being that essentially meaning that "souls" are trapped and seeking to expand their population by trapping, even if temporary, those who submerse themselves in this VR world. This will be brought to light further when Fatima has her child in the simulation.

They probably are in a pocket universe being experimented on because all them were in different locations on the map but all ended up in the same place so maybe when they saw the tree they could’ve been teleported to the pocket universe then i wonder bout the old man chained up how did he even throw down the rope while chained up why did he know bout Boyd’s wife and he also said the monsters was just the tip of the spear so meaning there’s more to come the demonic red cave painting most be the one behind things pulling the strings behind the scenes then the lighthouse very interesting lots of unanswered questions and theories hopefully they explain more in these last 4 episodes and make a season 3

I think that if you know why town of Silent Hill is the way it is and what happens to people that get there and why... you'll have the broad strokes of what is really going on in this show. Same general idea imho, just the details and all that ties stuff together is different...but general outline is similar.

No, and I will explain my thoughts on this. The "Town" was created by nonhumans, using nonhuman interpretation of what humans are. This is why the monsters are always smiling, and act/dress the way that they do. Something along the lines of the following: Nonhuman creatures plan to capture Humans and put them in a terrarium, but their entire exposure of what humans like is based off of 1950's Television and commercials that were ultimately broadcasts out to space. They create a mimic world that looks like a humans world, just like we do with animals we capture in a zoo. This is why the wires go into nothing, and the motel sign is there, but there is no motel.. also why the school is called elementary highschool. Its a fabrication that is designed to look like the human world at surface level. POC's were almost nonexistent in commercials and TV during those times, which is why they seem to not exist as monsters.

After more thought, yes.. there actually was one. If you watch the scene where the monsters get into the colony house, a creature walks down the stairs right after Smiley looks over the Banister. this is a young black female.

Elgin and the dancing lady are weird. They are always in the face of early danger. Elgin with the food "stealing". The lady with the "morphine" Something's weird about them. Plus Elgin going to meet his grandma sounds sus. Why did he have a premonition before getting to the town?

Pas de deux is a “step of 2” a dance between 2 people, I think the story with Boyd and the ballerina was exactly that, not a dance literally but a dance in a figurative sense in which boyd figures out that the music box stops, the ballerina first shows him the worms, then the bunker/cellar (this part was confusing to me bc she didn’t do anything except dance out of the cellar toward him, maybe she was telling him to go to the clinic but I don’t believe we get that from that scene) and finally the scene inside the clinic where it seems as if she is trying to hurt him the music box stops and she attacks him by showing him her wrist and then covering his mouth, etc…this possibly showed him how to transfer the worms to a monster. Idk I’m just grabbing at straws haha, I just want answers but haven’t gotten enough but it’s fun as heck trying to figure it all out lol

again, more questions no answers. the last scene with smiley definitely was a start, but the fact that it took 2 filler episodes for the writers to throw a bone is concerning. even with abby and the spiders at the end of s1, we have watched so many episodes and deserve some answers. i don't know if this is intentional from the writers to drag on for viewership, or they have no idea where the plot is going. for example, dragged on scenes like boyd apologizing and fatima's drama don't add anything to the plot and are stricktly filler. the fact that no one in the town shares what they know is infuriating. and where is the boy in white? the writers are wasting so much time and although the premise of the show is super entertaining, i don't know if it will be renewed
