FROM Season 2 Episode 6 Recap: What You Missed!

Thank you for checking out our FROM Season 2 Episode 6 Recap and Breakdown. FROM on MGM is the hit horror show starring Harold Perrineau.
This 6th episode of Season 2 is titled Pas De Deux. A Pas De Deux is French for a dance duet in which two dancers, typically a male and a female, perform ballet steps together. The pas de deux is characteristic of classical ballet and can be found in many well-known ballets, including Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, and Giselle. The dance is most often performed by a male and a female (a danseur and a ballerina) though there are exceptions.
I find this title very fitting for this very… far out-there episode.
Synopsis:
FROM unravels the mystery of a nightmarish town in middle America that traps all those who enter. As the unwilling residents fight to keep a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest; including the terrifying creatures that come out when the sun goes down.

I believe Elgin is the mole. Not only do I agree that he stole food, but I think he drove Ellis to the clinic to get access to the medicine while everyone was distracted. It will 100% be blamed on Mari. When Victor first saw Elgin, he mentioned he didn't trust him.

Finally! An exciting episode. I have ZERO complaints about this one. The only thing Im slightly disappointed about is that they took out Smiley. He was one of the best, if not THE best people monster out there. I would have liked to have seen more from him and I just wish they had killed one of the other, less popular monsters first.

Regarding Elgin, I must say I find nothing wrong with church scene. He went into church and even though someone is there he had every right to go in and sit as it is a church, meaning it is for everyone anytime no matter if there is a persone or people already inside, that's just how churches work. And even if he was not a believer, is there a better time to seek a comfort of a church than when you suddenly find yourself stuck in supernatural monsterville...

sunlight doesn't affect them, the reason why they come out only at night i believe it has something to do with man's fear of the dark, in the next episode we'll most likely see an autopsy performed on smiley's corpse to see what he is, i bet he's an android because when boyd slashed his throat there was no blood pouring out from the slash wound and also smiley had no reaction at all, this leads me to believe that the creatures aren't biological beings but must be some kind of synthetic creations, if you're a biological being you need blood to function, without blood your body doesn't work because blood carries nutrients and oxygen to your cells and takes away waste to be filtered out by the kidneys

This episode also disputes the fact that not being afraid of the monsters doesn't guarantee that you'll be safe. Remember what Randall did when he taunted the monsters ? I guess it's not because his not afraid that's why they walk away it's probably because the talisman is inside the bus and they can't get in

This is my theory, the ballerina represents time running out, the old man said when it stops they are coming and that’s why the leaves are changing. The blood from the old man was keeping him alive that’s why he died when he passed it to Boyd. I also think Boyd passed it to Ellis and the will weaponize Ellis’s blood next episode. They will probably use something like a syringe. Then they will go to the title of episode 7, the belly of the beast aka where the monsters sleep. They will kill them and the music will stop and like the old man said they are just the tip of the spear and the next big bad will come. Just like any quest there are multiple obstacles leading up to the final boss, the cursed town people are just the first step. Also watch for Boyd’s Parkinson’s to come back because like the old man the blood was protecting him. That’s my theory let me know what you think.

Maybe Boyd was able to attack Smiley like that while the other monsters just watched because the worms gave him some power over the creatures and prevented them to attack him, like when he exited the tower in the woods after finding Martin and was ignored by the monsters. I'd like to see if he could do the same again now that he hasn't the worms anymore.

They didn't ignore Boyd because of the worms. They clearly saw him and surrounded him for the kill. They didn't sense the worms at all and probably don't know what they were.

Love Jamie!! From the clues we have so far I'm calling it, Martin has been chained up for about 40-50 yrs, has had the blood worms in his system granting him extended life and mental powers. The boy in white is a mental projection of Martin. He knew about Boyds wife, boy in white led boyd to Martin thru Sarah - speaking telepathically to her-lips don't move, Martin mentally moved rope for Boyd, planned all along to give Boyd the worms. Boyd first sees music box with Martin then after he has worms sees box and ballerina. Ballerina pushes Boyd into fighting back with the worms. Boy in white appears to Victor when Victor was a child & helps him, earns Victors trust, steers Victor to help Tabitha in the monster den, appears to Ethan, helps Victor save Julie also during the colony house attack. Martins been very busy for a guy chained to a wall and knows way to much for what he's physically limited to. So, again Martin is the Boy in white, which is just a mental projection that only sensitives can see. Prior to worms Boyd wasn't sensitive to Martin, however, Ethan, Victor, Sarah are. Elgin and Jade are as well but Elgin has special telepathic sensitivity as he had dream about Fromville prior to arriving. By the time he arrives, Martin is dead. We've seen Ethan, Sarah, & Elgin have seizures. Jade is a special case. He is sensitive on a darker side. He sees symbol that Chris saw before he changed as Victor described in episode 5. Also we haven't seen Jade have a seizure. He saw the dummy that terrified Victor, he saw Chris, he saw a man crushed by a stone and saw civil war era soldiers one of which shot at him and stabbed him. Much darker entity telepathically communicating with Jade. I see Jade as very selfish and susceptible to turning to the dark side if he sees a big gain for himself. I'm thinking the worms will regrow either in Boyd & Elis or they will be able to harvest them from the body of Smiley(Jamie)in the next episode. This would explain the scene from season 1 where Boyd mentions that if you cut a worm in two you have two worms. The next episode is named Belly of the beast, so I think they will take the weaponized worms to the monsters in their cave/den. Great videos here, keep 'em coming!!

Amateur writing? How? This is literally how most humans would react in a situation like so.. probably even worse actually in real life if this all took place. They are all scared, so they don’t know what to believe or how to react to anything. All they know is how reality works, so they try to understand something that doesn’t make sense.. none of it makes sense to them, so Boyd story definitely doesn’t make sense in their heads too. It’s actually brilliant writing

Elgin knows something or has a connection but at least he did something useful for a change. Every time I think Boyd and Kenny are getting too existential for their own good, they man up. the problem now is boyd doesnt have the blood worms anymore. IF smiley face died in that scene then they dont have anymore ways in mind to kill another monster. BUT Jamies interview somehow points a clue that he didnt die or may have not died qoute " lets assume it worked" because if it did he might have ignored and agree. we all assumed the monsters dies with it forgetting it may have also been a cure to make them human again? HAHA cant wait for ep 7. we may see in the morning of episode 7 on the real status of smiley ( i dont think they will let him die since he is the most recognizable monster) . The worms kept Martin to Live longer i dont think they also want their host to die . another mystery LOL i like this episode

No way is “Smiley” dead. They need to watch his body all night/ day. Will he turn into a worse monster? Will he turn human and give them answers? I loved the cinematography in the van when Elgin was driving Ellis and Fatima to Kristi. I was trying to breathe for Ellis and drive for Elgin at the same time👍🏽👍🏽 Boyd and Kenny are the best together but I need to understand Elgin’s true role and if Jade is going to crack the mystery with Victor or just crack up (go crazy) like Christopher. So, Boyd and Kenny have to establish a whole new set of Town Rules because they've been breaking their own rules in front of everyone. Will Boyd demand that Dale go in the box for stabbing Ellis? How can he, after he hid Sarah- an accomplished killer- from everyone? Can Boyd really tell Randall that he can't have his gun but Kenny and Victor can walk around, packing? And they need to come forward about all the secrets they've been keeping from everyone- the Voice on the radio, killing the monster, the Worms, Martin the food shortage and worst of all...the loss of all the weed. WON'T SOMEONE THINK OF THE WEED?!? They need to SERIOUSLY start preparing for winter! Chopping wood, making chimneys, finding winter clothes, etc. And everyone needs to come forward with whatever weird shit they've seen. No matter how weird. Wouldn't it be a shocker if everyone was also bed wrestling with the ballerina but was too embarrassed to say so? Or other people seeing that damn circle? Or crying every night over that lost weed? Also, someone needs to just waterboard Elgin until he starts spilling truth! What does he know? What was he taking from his bag? WAS IT THE WEED?!? Bastard. Dale though... he's a problem. If he wasn't drunk or stupid, he'd do the math and see there's only two or three new mouths to feed over last season (which was what? Three weeks ago?). The bus had 25 new people (plus whatever Tilly really is) but we'd lost 15 total people in episode seven (fourteen at Colony's House plus father Cat-Tree). Then, in season two, episode two, we lost seven bus suckers. Everyone needs to register to donate blood.

IMO Dale has crossed a lot of lines and we just let it go because hes a secondary character to the main cast. Glad the worms weren't all in Boyds head. Damn. Now I have to add that "ballerina full of worms" fetish to my list. Nice to see other people are noticing the trees and seasons are changing. I'm betting the town has been in Summer for forty years or so. Yeah. They have a food shortage just when they can't grow any food for three months or more AND have more mouths to feed than before the storm! Though only really three more, in fact. (Fourteen from the Colony House massacre and Father Kathri are replaced by twenty-five from the bus - though the monsters got seven from that night. Three new mouths to feed ain't that bad- but losing the crops... OMG!!! WHAT ABOUT THE WEED?!? This episode shows exactly why Kenny and Boyd are large and in charge. Kenny steps right up to be home for worms if it'll save Ellis and Boyd does him one better by walking outside to show the monsters what he's been going through! It's worth noting how the Cowboy Monster and his girlfriend are shoulder to shoulder with Boyd but doesn't attack him. Like Boyd isn't really a threat compared to this new novelty before them. The Mechanic Monster and his girlfriend don't attack either. Are they being told not to? They don't even look at Boyd as if to question what just happened. Maybe they've seen it before, just not recently? I think next episode will continue this night's events, since we don't see Jade, Victor or Randall. Pretty conspicuous absences. I'm calling it now- Fatima is pregnant with Elgin's baby! Yes, Elgin is shooting his game all over town- Fatima, Julie, Sarah... probably Donna and Tien too. He wasn't going to "see my grandma" on that bus- he was looking for lonely passengers.

I think it's because of how often they see people going insane in the town that they're sceptical of new information like this. Plus Boyd didn't exactly have the best composure when explaining himself, shouting about worms in his skin and being seen talking to himself on numerous occasions.

Loved your recap.This season they are cutting 1 episode into two episodes.Every week it leaves you saying : next episode is going to be better, than is not interesting. I am so tired of this , an entire episode and only the last 15 minutes were captivating.I was still disappointed, Boyd killed him by mistake , I do not think they can kill all monsters like this. I feel like we are more than halfway through the season and the town has not really gotten much farther.

@@klipzgod1503 He was the one who caused the fight that got Ellis stabbed. He was trying to take food. They are on rations right now. Most people weren't aware about the food shortage yet. It's not that it was his fault, but the knife was meant for him so that would make anyone feel guilty wouldn't it? Plus, he does seem suspicious. For one thing, he already knew about this place but isn't saying anything about it. And, when he was talking to Sarah in the church about the day he got on the bus he hesitated half way through the sentence when he was going to say where he was going to see his grandmother (at the hospital? at the funeral home? Did she come to From town?). He's clearly hiding something as he knows more than he's telling anyone and yet no one is grilling him about it for some reason. I want to know why he feels guilty too.
