I fully rewatched seasons 1 and 2 and I have 60+ unanswered questions that I've jotted down on a Note in my phone as I watched every episode. Assuming that there will be a ton of payoff later in answering these questions, there is so much care that the writers have put into this show and that's what it makes it so good. Still early, but I'm confident that the whole story is already written as opposed to "writing as you go to make things fit," which is a very important difference.

I know someone that writes for some shows not this one, but he has told me before unless there following a well known book or something were they need to somewhat follow but often times the shows get catered to the audience as time goes on, if some characters is super haters they might kill them off, or try to change there view on the character. i know what you mean tho it will when you write out a long text and makes sense but you go back and edit it and then press send and then you reread and it now sounds confusing. you would think they would think like ok 3 season 4 seasons and have them all pre planned out and stick with the plan!!!

Calling it now. Victor's sister went through the tree and escaped the town, grew up in the outside world, got married and had a kid but ended up back in the town 40 years later where she recognised it as a "dream she had as a kid". She then unfortunately ended up shooting a bunch of people and inevitabley got shot by her own husband, Boyd.

The entity is what have created all the dreams, nightmares, visions, everything in the serie, but i think it has power inside that little world we call Fromville, and i think it wanted to get free not to destroy people from that ville, but maybe the entire world, because it doesn't have to much sense just killing people that arrive to the town just because it kills or make suffer as it's way of being, i think it has a bigger motivation, and it achieved the first step, be free from the his prison in town. Now we see it maybe has it's biggest powers by making suffer people by makeing dreams real, but i think this creature has to be more powerful.

I agree that the boy in white is not benevolent. Victor's mother and Tabitha are the only ones who see the Anghkueey children! He needed them gone, so he guided them to the lighthouse. He pushed Tabitha because he needed her gone. They got out of this dimension by dying. The boy in white is feeding off their Hopes or their fears. When Martin told Boyd before "he" comes back, I believe he was talking about the boy in white.

Hi! Very interesting theories! I think that the dogs might be “blink dogs.” They are dogs that blink in and out of existence to help lead people to where they need to go. When I searched online, it appears that blink dogs originate from the Dungeons and Dragons game, lol! However, it does seem to describe the dogs in From as well.

I think that the symbol is more simple than people think. I think it’s just the roots as the kid’s saw them from the tunnels. I get the impression the kids were held there against their will, and much like the show suggests, the forest feeds on hope. Their only hope was some light being cast behind the roots as they looked up at the ceiling of their dungeon. The different drawings of the symbol is simply the different perspectives that the kids had laying under the hole.

The main questions I have about Tabitha are regarding the “kids trapped in the tower” because in hindsight, that didn’t seem to refer to the lighthouse, Boyd’s dungeon, or the cave where Jade is. I’m thinking there’s more to that line than we currently understand, especially with the toys on the stairs but seemingly no one trapped at the top (interesting that the boy in white can physically interact with her here though). I’m also wondering if she had the bracelet with her when she went through the tree, and if that would affect where she is now, considering she originally lost it in a hospital. (I think the Mathew’s are from Arizona but don’t remember if they mention where the hospital was). Lastly I think that the big thing everyone seems to be missing is Fatima’s baby. Children seem to have some significance to the theme, and we have to remember that Fatima is only able to have a child after arriving there. I think that means she is being used as a surrogate for the town to have a baby the monster can control or something with half human blood and properties of the creatures made from dreams. I’m guessing that will be most important plot point next season and If Donna is a mole, that could also be the point of colony house. I think Tilly will divide people with some kind of cult ideology and the water in the cave will turn out to be more important than we realize as well. I just hope Jade will be okay down there, he seems to be only one looking in right direction for answers but I definitely think Tom was manipulating him to go down there alone

The ventriloquial figure he encountered in the tunnel allows a ventriloquist to engage in the act of stagecraft its origins being that of a religious act, in Latin for 'to speak from the stomach: venter (belly) and loqui (speak) and the Greeks called this gastromancy. The noises produced by the stomach were thought to be the voices of the UNLIVING, who took up RESIDENCE in the STOMACH of the ventriloquist. The ventriloquist would then INTEPERET the sounds, as they were thought to be able to SPEAK to the dead, as well as foretell the future. You may recall that nothing terrified Victor more than when he saw the ventriloquial figure while he and Tabatha were in the cave/tunnels.

This is just my thoughts. At the end of Season 2, when Boyd was in the Dungeon talking to a monster posing as his wife, Boyd wasn't talking to just 'A' Monster, Boyd was talking to 'THE' Monster; "The Big Bad". And every living character that has been talking to a dead character? They haven't been talking to the dead. The "Big Bad" has been posing, and talking, as the dead characters to Influence the living characters to some degree. Also, what the 'Big Bad' claimed about "Giving Hope to the people trapped is bad"? Well guess what? It WAS NOT lying to, Boyd, when it told him this. Think about this. How many times the people trapped in town had an idea about getting out of the town? There's quite a bit. How much HOPE did these characters have, and give to others, that their idea will work? All the time. And what was the end result of these ideas? They didn't work, and as a result shattered Hope overall. In some sort of reverse psychology, the 'Big Bad' told Boyd the truth, to get Boyd(and everyone else) to cling to Hope, that there is a way of them escaping. It's implied this Force feeds off Fear and Dread of those trapped. And what great source of Power it can feed off of, when the folks trapped Keep getting Hope in Ideas that ultimately fail, which in turn increases the fear and Dread in those trapped.

Another question that arises for me is whether Martin was a real person, which I previously assumed but in a separate timeline for lack of a better description, or was he a semblance of himself like Julie, Marielle, and Randal whose physical bodies were elsewhere yet Boyd could see them in the dungeon when the darkness was illuminated by light. It certainly seemed real to the rest of what followed that Boyd was infected by whatever was under Martin's skin and that once transferred to Smiley we saw the commencement of a greater evil in the cicadas. To be consistent, Martin's "real" body would have gone through the same process as Julie, Randal, and Marielle, i.e., becoming infested by cicadas that only they could see then finding a part of themselves shackled in the dungeon where Martin was found. When Boyd, Sara, and Kenney were at the site of the dungeon, Sara warned Boyd that if he didn't stop the music they (Julie, Randal, and Marielle) would die and that it would be too late. Which imo means Martin's real body died somewhere in From and the Martin Boyd encountered was some form of projection of Martin. Cheers!
