I think the man in yellow is the reincarnated version of ethan....yes cuz throughout the series we saw ethan wearing similar yellow outfits if we rewatch the series it is noticeable.......and previously he also warns Jim to let go of his mother and at the same time the we heard from radio "your wife shouldn't dig that hole" so think what I saw how things go in this series is this.

The marine who was chained said that the monsters are only the tip of the spear. Which means there is a lot besides monster and the yellow man is mostly connected to monsters . I think he is like a servant to a larger entity who eats on people's hope and fear .

I think the keys were the notes to keep the man in yellow locked away from everyone else, he wasn't around the entire time until that song was played. Every time they find out something - they unlock people we are hearing but not seeing as well.

Either that or he’s the main watcher of the town. Maybe the kid in white was his kid, and he maybe was the first person to sacrifice his kid, thus, making him the leader and chief of the town.

I think they wouldn't be too much of a help, since the residents rarely communicate and cooperate with ea. in Fromsville, and that would be the key of surviving/escaping the town.

@@abelboth4442 Well, unless they have explosives, physically their guns won't be any more of a help. and it's true that the cooperation and expected communication and sharing of knowledge among a military unit would be quite helpful, but then that runs into an issue story-wise. by that i mean, the new military characters would essentially have to take over the show, stealing the spotlight from many of the existing characters--so i doubt they'd do it for that reason alone. without jim there is room for new characters to have more screen time, but still--they already have so many important and great characters that i doubt they want to relegate as background in the face of these potential new arrivals, the military guys.

From is filmed locally, and I am lucky enough to know a lot of the cast and be in the casting group. I didn't get to work on it due to having a baby haha, but I will say they put the fear of God in people to make sure no cast leaked anything! The set is up year round, and there's usually pics taken with approval and shared by local media, which then gets posted on reddit, when filming starts. We usually also see the casting notices and those get reposted on FB/Reddit. My theory is the guy in yellow is an older version of one of the current characters. I also read a theory that they're in the otherworld as From can be translated to Fae.

All she did was cause problems and push people into fear; and her dying only helped to send Fatima alone into the forest where she was kidnapped. First timeline: Jade (original name unknown)❤️Tabitha(original name unknown(they had a child the angkoey kid) 2nd : Miranda❤️Henry (they had victor and her sister Eloise) 3rd : Tabitha ❤️ Jim (They have Julie and Ethan) Notice that only in the first timeline miranda has only one child introduced in the show so far and if you think about the pattern the first timeline is missing another child which is a boy. I personally think that it is possibly the boy in white. Why would I think think of it this way? Notice that the boy in white is from the first timeline and he knows a lot of things? Victor in the second timeline also knows a lot of things. Also Ethan we can notice that he is talking a lot to the boy in white and victor and he is starting to know a lot of things too. why Julie was not running away with Ethan in the last episode? Probably cuz that man in yellow was ethan. Notice how ethan behave as a kid heeven said mom is dead he just assume it and doesnt want them to find her anymore. Notice how ethan wears yellow before? Julie cannot explain it well to his father when she tried to run and convince him cuz he knew he couldnt explain it to his father that it was ethan. Notice when jim made an antenna and had the phone ring? The man talking to him and warned him about his wife digging a hole. And then just constantly calling him lately in the phone hang on the wall. And speaking to him in ethan’s voice and saying I am ethan dad. In that case the guy who’s talking to him and we believed that was trolling him pretending he is ethan is actually not pretending. I think he was actually ethan period. I hope it makes sense. In the last video he said I warned you. So its confirmed he is the man on the other line of the phone constantly calling him. And also we have learned that if a group of people came the place. It’s because at least one of them is tied to the place/town. Boyd’s family came. We knew Boyd is tied to the place cuz monsters wont even kill him they are just taunting him and testing him trying to broke him and some theories said that he is possibly martin. So Boyd was mainly the only significant person that was suppose to be brought to town but because his family was with him they are also brought to the place. Tabitha’s family. We are 100% sure that Tabitha is tied to the place and possibly Julie and ethan also but jim was just nothing he was just brought to the place because he was with them. Also she brought henry and acosta in the second time. The school bus. Elgin become one eyed right? Remember jade seeing the apparitions of a one eyed soldier? He could possibly be tied to the place too and I guess randal also. And I also suspected that Tilly too. When she came she was bit chill and I guess I remember he talks about her grandchildren or children I just forgot but I’m sure she talked about it there’s even theories about her when she was introduced in season 2. So, those other people in the bus are just unlucky to be with them. Some other people who were already there when the film started we dont know how they came there and who could have possibly brought them to the place.

It's very very confusing to explain. But Julie was never there in that tower until she travelled back in time. Which means her actions can change the course of things. She probably dosent know it yet, and has to find a way to do it.

I think the point of shows like From is that it's an open ended story...as in there are numerous theories or possibilities and everyone has an opinion, it's what makes it so fun. It's interesting the show is called 'from' --- I think that's means everyone in the show is 'from' the town. My theory is everyone in the town is like Tabitha and Jade, they keep returning eternally until they fulfill their purpose. Like Randall and others said, no one gets out alive, everyone is going to die here however the question is, will you fulfill your purpose? If you do, you escape through death, if not, you'll forever return to this hell. If you notice everyone seems to have a role or purpose and it comes to light at various points such as Tilly -- her purpose was to help Fatima with her pregnancy and have her flee so the birth could occur. Seems like the town chooses you based on your hopes and aspirations, most main characters had some false hope before coming to town (mending a marriage, retiring, finding an answer to some life struggle, a hope of surviving cancer etc). This false hope literally drives them to this place and its this false hope that keeps them going. Ince you arrive you have 2 options: give up all hope, accept your fate, have no purpose and die --- or continue with hope, create a purpose and be perpetually haunted by it for eternity. Wow this ended up being a long arse comment.

The showrunners originally stated they had a solid 5 season plan for this series. This won’t be released until 2026 sometime because it’s only less than 2 months until January 2025. Can’t wait to see the origin story of Fromville.

One thing about Julie’s time travel is that to start, I wonder if she will think she can’t die because she’s just a storywalker. Then when she gets the cuts on her face, she realizes she can. Despite it being the past, it isn’t her past, it’s her present. Everything that happened, happened. Also, people on FB are dumb. She was always meant to throw the rope to Boyd. She didn’t change anything, it happened in the past and was always meant to happen. Rewatch Lost season 5 if you want to understand time travel. (Same creators)

your logic is flawed. think about it this way--julie was only able to throw the rope because of her story walking ability. she was only there because she went through the ruins "portal"--she wasn't actually there during the time period when boyd was stuck in the well, the real julie was somewhere up at colony house or something back then. thus, the rope only got thrown because of julie's story walking ability, because season 3 julie was able to go back to like season 1 or 2 or whatever and throw the rope. but if there's no story walking, then the rope doesn't get thrown, presumably. so Obviously she used the story walking ability to change the past, because she couldn't have thrown the rope without it. season 1 or 2 julie wasn't in the ruins! that was the time traveling julie who threw it, and she wouldn't have been there without that power, so the rope wouldn't have been thrown!

even if you abide by the idea of temporal paradoxes, where something HAS to happen because of the actions of a time traveler who went into the past and changed something in that time--that still goes against the established rules. ethan said she can go back and watch, but she can't change anything. (or perhaps he didn't mean those rules as in she literally wouldn't be able to change the past--maybe he more so means she SHOULDN'T change the past!) but yeah, if she's supposedly only able to go back and watch, not affect anything, she's already shown that she broke that rule. you can argue that the rope was always meant to be thrown, but again, it was only always meant to be thrown because she went back to that time period in order to throw it! without her story walking ability she couldn't have thrown that rope. she'd have still been stuck in season 3 time. the rope was only "meant" to be thrown as a result of her time powers, without those time powers... no rope. and the time powers supposedly have a rule that you can't change the past... yet she used the time power to literally affect something that happened in the past...

Ethan is definitely the man in Yellow (have a look at his clothing through Season 1-3) Something tells me when Sara was suppose to Kill Ethan, that would end From however the voices she hears is *Thomas who is Ethans brother* to which we find is bad becuase he is a child. However he becomes evil, and maybe he is the creator and *bad analogy* bear with, squid games Ethan is part of the town he never puts himself in danger but replays the past and sees him create the same story with different characters. But for shits and giggles he gives this force sense of hope that these characters can go home. Like a non playable character *NPC* in a video game which glitches and crashes a game, the NPC *Jim* crashed the game and notciee the notes which meant cheating....and skipping the levels *hence interference* What if? The kids were sacrificed so that the *monsters* could live forever by the man in yellow. However if you kill the man in yellow *Ethan* as a kid.....you break whatever from is.....paradoxical

I think the reason why the Monsters are just walking when they tried to chase someone is the idea to instill fear to them. They serve as a guard to something valuable that could possibly lead the people to solve the mysteries in town. Monsters guard people from moving around specially at night. I think the thing they are hiding from the people is in the dark. Cuz they are active at night like it’s their night shift duties. Remember when the Man in yellow said “she shouldn’t have dug that hole jim.” When we saw that episode we knew that the place has a lot of answers it’s like a history library of the place but instead of the information written in the book, it’s written on the stones and on the walls. If Victor didn’t pull Tabitha in rush cuz of the fear of the monsters inside Tabitha could have got the answers. The anger of the man is in Jim not on Tabitha. Some of us might ask but why? Tabitha is a grown woman why blame Jim for her decisions? Because the man in yellow already knew that it’s the nature of Tabitha to try and find out things and he couldn’t change it. The only thing he could do is to tell Jim to stop Tabitha from doing those things. The man in yellow got furious more when he found out that Jim in the end was helping them uncover important secrets of the town.

Parallels between True Detective S1 and From, we now know that the monsters sacrificed their children to the man in yellow for immortality. So too in TD the members of the cult sacrifice children to the Yellow King in the hope of immortality. Also in the final episode of TD when rust finds the alter of the Yellow King he stands below a whole in the ceiling, similarly to where Jade sees the children being sacrificed above him is the whole where he sees the roots of the tree🤔

Martin is actually Boyds boat. How do I know? The Marine tattoo. You dock boats at the Marina. He also had worms. You use worms to catch fish when fishing off a boat. Then there's the fact that he met him next to a well. A well holds water and boats float on water. Then Julie had to throw a rope down the well to help Boyd mimicking the casting of an anchor to steady a ship. Holy cow...also he was chained up in a dark room kinda like how people who transport slaves by chaining them up below the deck of their ships. Then there's the music box. He said it was evil. Back in the day sailors believed that mermaids would sing songs to lore the seamen to them so they could eat them. Oh and when Boyd escaped the dungeon he arrived in the woods almost like how when you arrive on land it's unsettled and forest like!! Julie can also travel using this dungeon which people used boats and ships to travel across the world and with different time zones it's almost like time travel. Dude this started as a joke but this is really going places!

How come no one is mentioning the fact, which is really really big, that BOYD killed smiley and then Boyd protected and hid his daughter-in-law who was pregnant, and he was able to be the only one that ran into that basement and witnessed that baby being born was actually smiley, the monster he had killed. 😮

I believe that Randall and Elgin with the help of Acosta will begin the divide of the town. I also think that Kenny may end up siding with them I feel there might end up being something romantic between him and Acosta. Which would be really interesting if it is Abby reincarnated I also think Eloise is alive and I wonder if with everything happening that night in all the chaos if they didn’t even realize she escaped. I think she might play a big role in season four just a couple of thoughts.

My theory is that they're playing a game of 4D chess. Hear me out, I've seen this on reddit too, so its technically not my theory but i had thought of smth quite similar (before reading about it on reddit) after rewatching season 1 and realising how much they talk about chess. anyways, basically theres two entities playing a game of chess, the good guys, controlled by the boy in white, and the evil side, controlled by the man in yellow, the residents of the town are like the pieces of the game, each serving their own role and purpose. The ritual the original townspeople did where they sacrificed their children set this game in motion, and possibly the boy in white escaped hence leaving the game incomplete, and thus stuck in the loop. The residents would be the white pieces and the evil entities, like the kimono lady and the cicada monster and the music box ballerina monster are all pieces of the evil black side. There are two kings. Im not sure who the king of the black side is yet, but it might be the angkhooey children and freeing them would lift the curse. The king on the white side is ethan. Pure and good. If the evil side convinces someone ethan trusts to kill him (think Sara, and maybe in the future marielle, who im pretty sure is being mind controlled or maybe even Julie), the final sacrifice is made and the black side wins, resetting the board to its original starting squares for the game to be played again and again and again.

So, if the smonsters (smiley monsters) 😅 if they are immortal, then even if they find a way to kill them like Boyd killed smiley, then they will just reborn, so the only way to do it, is to not have people in the town that can provide pregnancy, so they will not get reborn, so they tree in the road i think is really the key to not have people arriving ever again

Tillie is the Man in Yellow, disguised. She shows up at odd moments, manipulates people, and stirs up drama. Unlike everyone else, she was the only person happy about being in the town, she even danced in the rain. She had no issue with Fatima eating rotten food and even encouraged her to do it. Then there’s this weird detail about her having 4 kids and 7 grandchildren, followed by the ambulance equipment showing the number 47. That same ambulance equipment is branded "Mabuse". There is a story of a Dr. Mabuse, a villain known as a master of disguise, hypnosis, and manipulation, someone who manipulates others into committing crimes. It all adds up: the Man in Yellow was disguised as Tillie, and he manipulated both Fatima and Elgin for his own purposes.

Why not? The King in Yellow is a great concept and character that is very introspective. Just because one did it as more of an implied force. I would like to see a show give us a visual representation of it. The King in Yellow does take on avatars and will make itself known if it so chooses to.

this show is really similar to that one movie, is it based from it? same shapeshifter(?) that kills characters, characters got lost when traveling, monster only attacks at night, someone needs to open doors for them to attack. I dont remember that movie name but its so similar to this show, in that movie the way they escape is through boats, they past the line where they can leave the area and in that ending one of the escapist is one with the monsters that can get out whether its morning or night, and the reason that it want to go out too is that it want to take over the world but it got a change of heart or something. i believe there were fairies. are they somehow connected?

The only one that isn’t is August Derleth version. Because he died in the 1970s. But since that’s just the story the Name and Title is all public domain.

Think the talismans make them look more human, but they can't enter homes unless someone opens the door for them. 🤔 They do be looking like ghouls during the day in the caves though. And when they attack their faces go all distorted. So... hmm what could it mean?
