Such a timely video for Rupert to put out. I was just discussing last night how someone can intellectually 'know' about Awareness, but not have the experience of recognizing this. I've sent this video off to them to help them immerse in consciousness.

Haa, yes, love your approach! Rupert says he and Francis sometimes just sit together in silence. Francis, answering someone, said 'l just sit' in the afternoons. I'm only lately beginning to watch this body-mind do it's thing so some interviews, elsewhere and exotic, unsettle it. Lol. Thanks and happy easter.

Many people have said on KZbin that everything is consciousness, and in a way I do not disagree with them, in the sense that consciousness is the most advanced part of a universal process that everything is based upon. We can have individuality based on the non-duality of one universal process, but we lose an important aspect of reality that can make everything logical if we just say everything is consciousness and then not try and explain how we can have the duality of individuality based on non-duality.

An artist theory on the physics of 'Time' as a physical process. Quantum Atom Theory The individuality we *think* we experience, is a concept. Notice, don't think about it, where and what is your individuality, if you don't think about it? Just notice. Awareness *is* wile thinking about the individual (me) is present, awareness *is* , while thinking about the individual is not present. By noticing this, the individual is exposed as a concept in mind.
@Dyslexic-Artist-Theory-on-Time
@Dyslexic-Artist-Theory-on-Time 7 жыл бұрын
Yes this is true, but if we examine that awareness or thinking we can understand it as part of a universal process. This is not as farfetched as it sounds. If conscious awareness is based on the same creative process that gave us the potential for the interconnected nature of the World Wide Web with the wonders of modern electronics. The conscious awareness could be explained as the most advanced part of a universal creative process using the logic of physics just as we use physics to explain electronics.

An artist theory on the physics of 'Time' as a physical process. Quantum Atom Theory Indeed, but awareness can never be the object of your investigation, because it is what you *are* and that's not an object. It's like the tounge can't taste itself. Thoughts, concepts, arise in this *knowing* presence, known by it. You could say, it's an expression of consciousness, arising out of pure potential, which is your true nature. This potential, what you are, is not an object, but *that* which knows all objects. So what we are can't be experienced, but *known* .... non-conceptual, as the simple knowing that you are present and aware. Wish you a nice day.
@Dyslexic-Artist-Theory-on-Time
@Dyslexic-Artist-Theory-on-Time 7 жыл бұрын
Awareness is not an object, but an objective understanding of the process that forms conscious awareness can help us comprehend the oneness of creation. In such a theory the oneness that the mystic feels in meditation is based on the same process that forms the unity of physics and mathematics.
@Sethan777
@Sethan777 7 жыл бұрын
An artist theory on the physics of 'Time' as a physical process. Quantum Atom Theory Yes, but you are talking about an experience. Experience come and go. What you really are, this awareness, is not an experience. What you are does not come and go, but is the timeless fact of your true nature. Right here and now. It's not an object in the experience, it's that what is aware, knowing this experience, non-conceptual. The objectiv understanding, through mind/thoughts will not work, because mind/thought has no clue what you really are. The mind/thought will never comprehend oneness. So *seeing* *knowing* non-conceptual, in direct experience, your true nature as present awareness, right here and now, will answer all questions, because what you really are, is the answer. Oneness is not an intelectual understanding, but *known* as your true nature, through direct *seeing* Your true nature as present awareness, is nothing you have to find, seek, understand. You just need a clear *seeing* of the fact what you really are, not what you *think* you are. What you are is not an object, experience, but the timeless fact of present awareness, with or without objects.

So, during the climax of a successful self-enquiry (''who am I?'') why can I still observe the world (sensory perception) throughout?, this being that Rupert claims the world is observed through the mind (a thought) which ive allegedly, albeit momentarily, collapsed into its source ('awareness) therefore, again, why can I still observe phenomena during self - enquiry? Thanks

Wherever u r in self-inquiry,keep asking "who is this "I" to which dese experiences happen!.....coz the ego z very tricky,it will make it a mental contraption,as '"I am practising self-inquiry"....it requires a serious inquiry,a serious desire to discover the I...

If self-enquiry is performed perfectly and the mind sinks into its source and thus we arrive at its birthplace then why am I still aware of phenomena throughout of and on completion of the enquiry? Thoughts momentarily cease as a result, granted, but how come I am still aware of sensory experience (e.g seeing or hearing) how come experience doesn't just end altogether upon revealing the birthplace/source replicating the non-objective deep sleep state? After all, you state that the BOTH are the source (both deep-sleep and the mind sinking into the heart via ''who am I?'' - same source but by different means right?) So.... (thought subsidence aside) why the maintenance of other sensory experiences throughout and on completion of a successful ''who am I?'' enquiry? (as opposed to deep-sleep)
@constipatedbowels3473
@constipatedbowels3473 5 жыл бұрын
Seems like u r trying subconsciously to contruct the state of deep-sleep....itz possible to go completely thoughtless with all sense perception operating,dat z the state that z present both in deep sleep as well as in waking state,itz called Turiya...itz called ground consciousness or the base consciousness dat permeates all the rest 4 states of consciousness..... Krishnamurti talked about being so completely awake and alert,such observation happens widoud any interpretation...

I need to study for hours with little pauses, that is reading, thinking, repetitive thinking, memorising, at this point resting as awareness while not engaged in much action is quite natural, walking, doing simple tasks is tiny bit harder but still easy, even driving I can rest as awareness, but studying oh, this is a pain in the ass. Do I stay partially as awareness and the rest is focused on studying? It feels like I need all the focus I have for studying to be effective, for the mind to fully be there with the concepts and stay there to memorize. How do I not get lost in thoughts and actions in the busiest of moments, only to have to stop and recognize that I am awareness and all there was in the thoughts, feelings, sensations was just knowing of them?

BUT, if you say that enlightenment is nothing special. As Rupert says it is not some magical amazing experience then how can you say you are enlightened? If I knew with 100% certainty that I survive psycial death than let me tell you, I was be as thrilled as you have no idea. I'd walk around with a huuuge grin on my face being a ray of positive life to every one and any thing I meet. I would change like night turns to day. I would jump up and down with joy. I am free! I can do whatever because there will not be nothing or blackness / emptyness upon death, because I transcend to another real or reality-frame. So my question stand: how can Rupert say he is enlightened if his, quote, "experience was nothing special"? They say enlightened people change forever. They don't fear anything they don't fear death. They say their experience was eternal bliss, love, and happiness and an incredible feeling of being at ease with simply everything know to the human mind. So how can Rupert say it "was nothing special" Enlightenment must be simply amazing!!? This makes me doubt he has had any experience at all - or I'm missing some huuuge piece of info. At first I thought he said that his experience was incredible but that subsided with the years. I had to go back at few times to around 5:25 to check but he keeps saying it's nothing special. His experience has led him to understand that there is an afterlife because consciousness is eternal. So because something is aware of me and my thoughts, and something that is always there is present right now doesn't mean it will continue after psychical death. How can he be so bloody sure then, pardon my french. Then ok, how do he explain no experience = full understanding? I can read a book about flying an airplane, but if I've never taken flying lessons I wouldn't be able to taxi on the runway let alone probably start up the airplane. How can you have knowledge without first hand experience? Something ain't adding up man.

Or is he saying that *THE* experience (OBE/astral travel/near-death) is nothing special in that there are no beautiful colors or music, there are just consciousness aware without a body somewhere else? His experience was just like the waking right now but without his body?
