As a Buddhist tantric practitioner, I appreciate that you relate the Hindu/Buddhist tantric traditions properly. Though I do think that "left hand path" tantra is an orientalist misunderstanding - but that is a different conversation. What I am mystified of is the Western Sex Magic obsession with the various bodily secretions. At least role of that stuff in Buddhist tantra is merely symbolic AFAIK. In my lineage, any sexual practice is about romantic intimacy and it requires three primary conditions: 1. Both partners are in love with each other, 2. Both are experienced with more foundational mediation/ritual practice. 3. Both partners are tantric practitioners. No bodily fluids are needed; unless one is into that.

I was thinking that too!! This was the first time I even heard of "fluids" having any sort of perceived value at all. I'm sure it has everything to do with alchemy and the obsession with Gold. Gold has no real magical value besides being a stable energy converter but That level of magitech is not even on the horizon unless more meddling happens 😂
@donovan6653 жыл бұрын
In the west at that time I understand the fascination with fluids is simply that culturally there were some prudery around them, and some seek to break the taboo. Even today fluids are still neurotically/superstitiously perceived.

Randolph is difentely a intreresting character. Crowley on the other hand had many misinterpretations. As Manly Hall said, at least along the lines off: Crowley is a great example of low the human intellect can go.. The collection of sexual fluids for magical purposes was definitely present in the Kulamarga, in which left-handed tantra originated, around groups of cremation ground-dwelling ascetics who offered blood, alcohol, and fluids to feminine divinities called Yoginīs in exchange for powers. Some of Crowley’s practices do seem to have a Kaulika flavor to them in regards to taboo-breaking and overcoming disgust. In some Kaula lineages (such as the Kaula Trika, which my 2019 MA thesis was written on), the transgressive magical practices of earlier left-handed traditions were internalized and esotericized, being reinterpreted as a means to liberation in a similar way that Vedānta internalized the external fire sacrifices for magical benefits written about in the Vedas as yogic practices for awakening the inner fire. The Kaula sexual practices of groups such as Nāth yogīs and some forms of Tibetan Buddhism also emphasize the power of sexual fluids, but utilize that power through the cultivation, retention, and transmutation of sexual energy to facilitate an inner alchemical transformation and awakening. I am currently studying with a Tibetan- and Daoist-originating lineage to work towards a certification to teach some of the latter forms of sexual tantra.

I'm a Tantric Rishi, and it's very interesting to see how much is missing in English understanding of tantricism. I find that our practices are not as sexual but more like a physically guided Reiki. Yes, the subject of the ritual is usually overcome with desire and will engage with us, but that's because the rituals are meant to stir the demon inside the individual and lure them into sexual madness so that they don't realize they fall for our trap. Honestly, Kalima knocked it out of the ball park with this type of white magic, it works so well that even Crowley couldn't dismiss it. The only thing I have to give Crowley recognition for is learning that Homosexual tantric priests are the strongest since they are removed from the breeding cycle so their magical potential isn't disturbed by childbearing.

Ok, the video and the comments require clarification concerning Paschal Beverly Randolph. 1.First, unlike what Angela says in the comments below, racism was a big part of his life as he was considered an educated black person and a social reformer in 19th century America and Europe. The more accurate truth though was that he was a of very mixed blood, even more than a mestizo, but he suffered very greatly from being considered black. 2.His sexual theories in brief. In the video Angela says that his sexual theories are heterosexual and that is correct... in some sense. Randolph was one of those occultists and personas that traveled the world in general, but it seems that of all places, the middle east was the most important place for him, where he learned and was initiated by muslims and sufis, but more importantly from an Ismaili sect of (than) mountain dwellers in Palestine and the area called Nusarii which used sex for spiritual purposes, and influenced his teachings, but (that's what he says anyway, and it's not entirely clear) he firstly was introduced to this form of sexual magick (using bodily fluids) by a young Muslim woman. 3.The core of his sexual theory is, the male orgasm is electric, the female one is magnetic (as in the magnetic fluid of the Mesmerists and some side schools of 19th century occultism). The male is the ego and the female is the inner side of the human, and in normal sexual intercourse there is exchange of fluids and other aspects of the human being. However in any other form of sex there is no proper mutual exchange and especially in masturbation, the soul dwells on it's own electricity therefore electrifies itself and unknowingly attract evil forces, entities and chaos, this together with the average person bad diet is the prime reason people exhaust themselves and die sick. 4.Randolph claimed he found the universal idea and the enlightenment of the personality, the universal idea is love, and sex is the highest expression of it, and the woman "love incarnate". This is the fundamental idea of the human soul which is a tiny invisible globe of white fire in the pituitary gland. The application of this idea is the will, which people can cultivate and increase their will power to a great extent and rejuvenate themselves with magnetic energy as well as develop various clairvoyant and occult powers, and some can even reach immortality and gain soul sight to the afterlife. And also through all this experience god, which is an oversoul and a white light/fire central sun that creates everything in the universe and is behind all good secret societies (and therefore god is love). Because the female is love, women are superior to men, except when in the apex of sex (in which they are equal), otherwise... 5.He considered any sexual method (some tantric) that do not involves orgasm by the usual channels as dangerous, especially for males. But also criticized the Oneida community. 6.Somebody says in the comments below that he learned his sex magick from the the Hermetic Brotherhood of Luxor, but there is no written evidence for that, there is evidence for the contrary that his theories influenced that brotherhood and that the HBOL tried to be of practical nature, a mission that Randolph also stated, beyond that, there is no evidence he participated in that brotherhood. Besides, he started writing and publishing before the group was established. We do know he participated and helped establish the first Rosicrucian brotherhood in the united states. 7.Other areas Randolph influenced and wrote on in his time: womens rights, black mens rights and freedom to slaves, pioneering treatise on the medicinal and spiritual use of hashish, early treatise on the consequences of tobacco use and smoking (called "the evil of tobacco"), pre adamite theory, some theories on evolution and occult evolution, first mapping of his time of spiritual and astral realms, pioneering theory on the use of magick mirrors and some other areas i don't remember. 8.There is no evidence that Crowley had heard about Paschal Beverly Randolph, but Crowley did wrote on another pioneer occultist and mystic in this area, Ida Craddock. I hope that gives context to some parts of the video and clarifies some things.
@kerry-ch2zi Жыл бұрын
So, would it be correct to say that Randolph consummated the first Mother Fakir Tantric ritual in the West? (Sorry Dr. Angela, but I just can't picture Frater P. passing up that pun, especially in the monogamous matrimonial context). On a more sober and mature note however, I do think there may be something to the idea that the Priestess is on top, so to speak, and the whole Apollonian idea of the female= moon, receptive Dionysian unconscious, etc., may be backwards, as the Mother is the fully conscious aware entity in the process of pregnancy while any fetus by cognitive developmental criteria is pre-self, pre-verbal and without volition entirely, thus indicating that no one is behind the wheel of Hesiod's chariot of the diurnal, if the dawn is taken as a birth, or re-birth, and the active principle not the sky that is giving birth to light. Vessel though she may be, Anima Mundi still steers with her fin even as Jonah's transport to Nineveh, thus the whole Kundalini metaphor seems more consistent with the male as a passenger on the ride, yes? This having been said, I think I'll leave Mr. Crowley to his Amrita cock-tail without the chaser to toast by himself, and join Mr. Grant in his emphasis in the Divine female, which is underscored by the infrequent and spontaneous but always engaging video interface with Thou...
@frankjimenez460111 ай бұрын
I think you quoted Urban that what Randolph learned got incorporated into the Hermetic Brotherhood of Luxor and what Crowley learned got incorporated into the OTO. This is strongly false. Randolph learned sex magic from the Hermetic Brotherhood of Luxor, and Crowley learned sex magick from the OTO.

My suggestion and answer to the west and indians, I'll try to keep it simple and understandable for normal human beings :- sanatan dharm believe in moksha( the ultimate state of param or existence while not existing in a material form) to achieve this state two paths have been divided ( Vedic and tantrik ) where Vedic path talks about moksha through karma, bhakti and dhayan. The tantrik path discuss about moksha through mantra and RITUALS. WHERE Vedic path is difficult to follow as you have to follow some strict rules to attain that state { as you can not consume meat, alcohol and has to follow a strict timetable } in tantra most of the things were allowed. Where by Vedic path a person can attain moksha in 14 janams awakening self consciousness in the first janam but in tantrik path it takes 16 janams to attain that by awakening self consciousness in first janam. In Vedic method one can achieve moksha only by satvic path on the contrary in tantra one can achieve moksha by any of the three paths ( satvic, rajsik and tamsik) where last 4 janams should be satvik . The point where both Vedic and tantrik paths converse or meet is the yog tantrik paths ( in which the time of moksha dose not decreasess but the user can keep a balance between both paths ). If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask I will try to answer all of them till I'm here in this mortal concubine. For the sorce this knowledge was passed down to generation in verbal form later on people started to write them for the next generation to come and easy access it. I am happen to be someone who's been following the path of yog tantrik kriyas since the beginning.

My angels told that men would take their beloved’s menstrual blood and drink it-only if it was a heirogamos relationship aka scared union… because it was the holy grail of healing. The fountain of youth. It is the blood shed from the most powerful womb that holds life, this is why babies blood is very valuable in troubling circles. That’s why some witches use their blood to bring back dead plants… also why women back then would free bleed onto the earth-it would give back to the earth and thus sustaining the soil. This is PURE LIGHT blood magick, but there is the opposing side as duality must exist for prime creator to understand all and love all. LOVE is the most powerful thing. JOY is too

You are an arousing Angel, if I may be way too bold?! My question: Does you think Cro-Magnun, Homo-Erectus and/or Neanderthals were rpiritists? Understood a zodiac? I think their skulls were large enough??? I know this is anthropological??

I noticed the unicurcile hexagrams you are wearing. Along with the subject being discussed, I wonder how much you know about Thelema, Hermeticism, and western ceremonial magick in general. I am an occult scholar, and have been studying the occult/practicing magick, and have been a Thelemite/Thelemist (I prefer"Thelemist". Because Thelema is more of a practice,than religion.) for over 27 year's. Over that time I have acquired much knowledge and experience. That frankly, nearly 100% of all people consider to be totally USELESS information and experience. Lending itself to absolutely nothing. Unless, you happen to be a magician, witch, or occultist. Which, most people not only,are absolutely not. But, people want absolutely nothing to do with it, in general... So, I ALWAYS take the opportunity to possibly converse with another person might actually grasp/be interested in the occult.
