Reading the book and then watching this is so surreal. I’ve read all about this and read all about these people, but seeing what they actually look like, sound like and act like, just makes the story all the more painful. It’s horrifying how this is real, and the overlap that comes from when you read the book and see the words “60 minutes interview” and then watch it, it really does just settle in that every single part of this was real, every word spoken, every injustice and every bit of pain, were something that actually did happen. It was disturbing to read, but it’s almost unreal to watch.

Even if Ralph Myers said the victims mouth was opened and the position of her body, he may have been shown a picture of her at the scene! It’s not unlike the cops to look after each other and i’m sure when they pressured him into making a false statement they persuaded him even more by showing him crime scene photos.
