This video had stereo sound before we uploaded it to KZbin. For some reason the playback on KZbin only has mono, left channel side. Please turn up your volume!

The better option is to turn on mono audio for the device you are using. In Windows, just search for Mono. Most phones will have it under accessibility settings I believe.

I thought that I was the only pocket stuffer left alive. The pockets of my cargo pants are always full of survival gear that I EDC. I concentrate on shelter, fire, water purification, my knife, signaling and cordage. You gave me ideas on how to carry even more without looking like a pack mule headed to the high Sierras.

I''m retired and walk my large hunting dog daily. We are on a pace for close to 1,200 miles this year. To walk the dog that far I have to carry stuff. My summer hat, no longer a ball cap, but a wide brim fishing cap with neck flap. Why? I am already showing things that may lead to skin cancer. And it is cooler on a hot day. If I wet that hat down on a hot summer day I've air conditioned my head. Winter hat, to 10F wool watch cap. Below 10 F either a long double layer fleece hood or a beaver bomber hat. Wool scarf either on or ready in pack. Pocket knife, liner lock, half serrated CRKT windage. Zeff serrations are made for cutting paracord, and work great. Sidearm and holster. Summer 380 in a pocket holster. Rest of the year, 9mm compact in a shoulder holster with extra mags worn concealed. Sure I could legally open carry, but why bother. People think I'm an aproachable friendly old man. In the first major pouch of the pack Water load. Summer, five liters. rest of the year three. Steel containers for the water and a collapsible bowl. Some days I have to use a liter just to wet down his fur. Poncho in a side pocket of the pack. Just wore that for 3 miles today. Flashlight in other side pocket In another pouch of the pack, 20 foot spare leash for letting the dog swim in the river. 6 foot spare leash for walking a second dog. It attaches to the leash I have via two spliced loops. I've used it about ten times a year walking someone else's dog. 20 feet of paracord, 55 feet of mason's twine, two 4 foot straps with adjustable buckles. Because sometimes I find things to carry home from yard sales. spare dog waste bags spare shoelaces In second major pouch, Spare socks, snowflake multitool second pocket knife bandana, small first aid kit, knee wrap, ankle wrap, 4" ace bandage, paper and pen, compass, lighter two other firestarters In another small pouch dog treats On my belt, cell phone, and kubotan in pockets, wallet with cash, credit, insurance and ID spare change keys When pocket carrying sidearm nothing else is in that pocket. Shoes, Merrill hikers in summer, Thorogood hikers in winter, Sorrells when snow is on the ground. It may seem like a lot of crap to carry, but once you get past the 11 pounds of water and then the 1 1/2 pound for steel water bottles, it doesn't make that much difference. In three years I've used all of it except for the 4" ace, the other two firestarters, the kubotan and the spare pocket knife. I've had people ask me if I have a screwdriver, wrench, some string, a bandaid, I'm known in town now as the guy with the dog and the "Santa's backpack" When I'm not waling the dog I don't carry the pack, so the load is a lot smaller. I've lost a lot of weight, my blood pressure and A1c are no longer requiring medication and I'm out of the house every day for a couple hours.

I love the focus on knowledge and environment. I work in an office which prohibits, knifes, multitools and most cutting implements so after going back and forth with HR for a while I found that box cutters are ok because they are issued to employees. So I added a Gerber Prybar Utility tools so I can keep some kind of cutting implement on me for the 3 days a week I have to go into the office. SMH, the HR person actually asked me why anyone would ever need to carry a pocket knife, they said no one needs a weapon on them all the time. And yes where I work a multitool or pocket knife is seen the same as carrying a gun. SMH.

I like the Wazoo stuff. If carrying a Bic, I’d also recommend the flint/striker necklace. Depending on the use of the bic, or the stability of the flint in the lighter… necklace provides the redundancy. Gorilla tape on a bic has been my most resourceful edc. I keep a leatherman squirt (RIP) in my pocket as opposed to a full size multitool. Also… prefer the “pull-the-dot” connections for the blaster over the clips. Good Video. 👍

Thanks, I am new to this topic. This is great info. I think it might be a good idea for our more rural brothers, or those who travel in isolated areas, to carry a can of blaze orange spray paint. If your car flips over in the brush, you might be able to make the location visible from the air by painting all of the bushes around the crash site. If you injured and cannot leave the car, you could spray the hell out of everything near the driver's side window. It might help. --Old Guy

My EDC is viewed as bat💩 crazy in my area by most but when stuff goes sideways, everyone will be wanting me in their camp. Here's my setup (keep in mind that I have the Wazoo belt and also keep some stuff in am altoid tin and some in a pouch on the belt plus wear cargo pants and a 5.11 Tactical Rappel jacket) Tools: Leatherman Juice CS4 Leatherman Super Tool 300 (swapping for an Arc) Primary and secondary folders Serrated blade SAK Trapper pattern traditional Neck knife Belt knife Opinel saw Leatherman Raptor Fire: Two ferro rods Matches Tinder Fatwood Bic lighter Fresnel lense Cordage: #36 bankline Titan survivor cord Jute twine Shelter: Mylar blanket Lighting: Olight Arkfeld Mini glow sticks Full size glow stick Sticker lights (can stick to gear, car, etc) Water: 2 whirlpak bags Purification tablets Pathfinder water bottle (yes I bring a big steel bottle everywhere) Defense: Yeet cannon with extra freedom seeds Kubotan Punch dagger Food: Protein bar Snare wire Fishing kit 3 Esee arrowheads Misc: Phone Power bank Write in rain pen & pad Readyman cards 2 bandanas (bright orange and camo) Med/first aid kit Sewing kit Wallet My keys also have a light, exotac ferro rod, and Victorinox classic on them. Add my EDC to my hiking/hunting/dual sport riding survival gear (a full 10C Pathfinder style kit with a few extras thrown in), and I'm way beyond ready but at least I know I can handle nearly anything that comes my way. I prefer excessive gear because I ended up having to survive about 10 years ago and had very minimal stuff (belt knife, water filter, water bottle, lighter, bag of jerky) to get myself through a few days. I made it but I swore I'd never go anywhere (even work. Lol) so ill-prepared again so I built myself the most insane system I could possibly carry and learned how to use everything
