Journal Entry 3: It's over. I can't believe it's over. The base fell. They didn't even give us the honor of a glorious death! They knocked out our defenses and boarded the base. I was on patrol at the time, and by the time I got back it was already over. The last I saw, there was a massive airship hovering over the Locker. Even our mighty 'Squirrels couldn't slow them down. We lost the Kraken trying to hold the base, but word is that it went down swinging - lucky gits... The enemy propaganda machine is already at work, trying to cast the Lords as despots who oppressed all those they could raid, but those of us who have served know the truth of these invaders. I even heard a rumor that they captured a couple of the Lords, and are using them as slave labor to fuel their war machine. Disgusting. Our fleets may be broken, but they shall never break our spirits! But there's nothing left of the Guard now. I know there are a few captains who intend to stand and fight, but there's no future in that. Without reinforcements, they'll just be dying alone. As for me? I don't know. I've heard tell that the Lightning Hoods are looking for recruits, so maybe I'll join up with them. Maybe even get command of one of those fancy new laser ships. Who knows. Lathrix! I have a challenge for you! I call it the "no space program challenge" Basically you can't have any high atmosphere/space craft. This includes Recon satellites. So in order to do scouting you need to use patrol craft, land installations and scout planes I've played it a few times and I've found the extra challenge fun and it makes it a bit more immersive. As you surely must have noticed at 5:45, the Marauder's simple cannon broadside is actually a viable weapon now. Simple weapons were buffed and remodeled a few weeks ago, and can serve quite well as a means of filling spaces with weaponry. Regarding Davy Jones Outpost, there is a pending update for it. Nothing major though, just beaming things up and updating the drones. As for the AIs hanging from the bow of the one ship, I do indeed believe them to be exactly what you think they are, which I found to be a nice touch too. I just had an idea, I should rename those AI cores.

Lath, I would like to apologize, In the last episode I commented on how overpowered your ships tend to be in relation to the Opponents however I assumed it was your use of missiles (in past series) and rapid fire cannons, however I have since come to the realization that this is not the case, the reason your ships are overpowered is the humble repair bot. your ships have them and the opposition does not, simple as that, and so you can defeat a much larger and more powerful ship simply by repairing mid battle, and so I pose to you a challenge; no repair bots. I think you would thoroughly enjoy the challenge and I know I would enjoy watching, It would force you to build ships that can take the hit in stead of just repairing it, It would also mean making more than just one super ship but rather multiple medium sized ones with smaller support ships, I would also go so far as to say only put tentacles on forts and dedicated repair ships (preferably unarmed/lightly armed), this is my challenge to you. EDIT: I don't know about you but I enjoy a game much more when I don't always win every battle, I like the challenge and the feeling that my opponent is a match for me.

Journal Entry-90 It's been so long since i've joined to help rebuild and fight in the "glorious Deepwater Guard" (if you can even call it glorious anymore) and i was on submarine patrol. I saw a large, enemy Air force consisting of 1 GIANT airship that was bigger then the Locker. With 2 companion drones which seemed to be filling up on fuel, the weird part is that it was being filled up by a lying milk air ship. I hurried back to base to tell the captain what i saw, and he just ignored me. He ordered an attack on the new enemies base but received an emergency call from Lieutenant Thomas Gibson saying "sir, dont attack the base they sent a force to intercept the attack, i recommend recalling the attack immediately". The captain recalled one plane from the attack to help defend the base, the air unit he called back barely made it out but got out undetected before the fleet he was in previously got attacked. We barely had time to prepare for the on coming attack from the merciless lathrix pirate. When the attack came we heard a big loud voice come from the sky and we got to battle station. The voice said "Lets see the Davyjones Outpost before we destroy it" a couple of the crew pissed themselves and ran to my sub. I was awoken by the voice, grabbed our leader and ran to the sub. We got in and ran, we didnt engage, we didnt slow down or looked back, we just ran. A week later we made it to the Lightning Hoods and joined their army. I was exited to hear that my good pal Thomas Gibson had lived through the onslaught and joined the Lightning Hoods as well. My good friend Dave had greeted me when i joined the Lightning Hoods. Gibson and I had got deployed on the ship that Dave was deployed on and he told us he was an engineer , i was assigned gunner, and Gibson was assigned captain. Now we just wait for the Lathrixian empire to strike and we will hopefully push them back. Sgt.RaiderLeader -

23:20-24:20 on top of that the melded ship that they're hanging from has metal plating & looks like a sailing ship, the only faction I can think of that has ships of that design is the onyx watch's sailing ships, which would make sense considering the DWG are pirates and the OW is a trading faction.

You should try using the simple lasers for close in AA. They tear through lots of things and a tiny turret can hold 4 of them and delete squirrels at 500m, which is their max range. Also Airship should be Isha's Demise.

Lathrix just a quick warning, if you fight the lightning hoods you will have to fight the white flayers aswell since they are allied to the end. At first when you declare war to the hoods they might not attack you but after 4-5 battles they will declare war to you.

Maybe add a turret right on the backside of the airship, like on the UK's Wellington bomber. Some 2 cannon turret that can hit the back 180 could be pretty useful, and easily achievable with a one-plane turret and the AA mantlet. It could work as a Flak-weapon for fast aircraft that rapidly get around the back of the craft.

the khorne flakes are just trying to fuse into a quad copter. also, paint the outpost pink with yellow spots! and lastly, make the submarine you want to build out of wood as well. it'll fit the theme quite well.

Lathrix, for missile testing you could use the sunfish, which should be an expert DWG as well. It only uses missiles, uses more missiles than the red tuna and it flies.

Latherix, Please make an airship that can carry really small drones, I've done it before an even made it drop a submarine!! This would make it feel more like a really big and powerful ship. I have made 3 versions in this campaign on my computer. 1. It had the tiny drones come out of the bottom, these were later turned into subs that carried torpedoes! The flying drones usually crashed into the water. 2. This one had them coming out of the sides. These usually worked the best if the whole side was covered with them. It had a very small gun. Only drawback was the lack of armor on the main carrier ship. 3. The best version, had them coming out at the top. I was able to put 8 drones on top of the airship. Drones where fast and nimble, but where weak. It looked like a toaster from the top. Note: It is very hard to make the airship still decent in combat, usually it took me a while to make a design I was happy with and could work properly.

From my experience, I do better with frag anti-missile missiles. You give them the maximum spread, and proximity sensors. The enemy missile flies near it, detonating the anti-missile missile, and the frags can destroy the enemy missile. The benefit not using that method is your missile can take out multiple in one launch, my design can only take out a group if they are clustered (Or if my alternate version moves faster enough to destroy them before they get too far away from the enemy ship)

Lathrix, have you tried messing around with helium pumps? Try them out sometime. Also have you fought the Gray Talons at all yet? Ungodly airships that block out the sun descend from the heavens, obliterating any who oppose them with cannons that sound like thunderclap. Any who flee are quickly cut down by the merciless fighters.

You should make a ship called Dreadnought which as the name implies is a super heavy costly metal piece of death. However, to make it fun it should also be a mobile resource harvester with full base compatibility (doom bus) so you can mix and match it

I am sorry to say Lathrix that the flying squirrel has been nerfed severely, trading its twitchy flight pattern in favor of a shield, meaning flak does an absolute number to this thing however AP anti-air rounds fired from ships will have trouble downing this craft. Yup.
