There is a little trick you can before 227 fight. You can leave ranged units in the nearest lumber camp to avoid extra losses. The fight is still doable, and you save so much army, that the final battle can be won via autobattle.

I have never made it past week 5. Slow does nothing as enemy has mass cure, blind apparently does not work as enemy is either immune or resists anyway. I have 70 % resistance, yet every single spell of his hits. I can do week 4 perfectly and yet I stand no chance at week 5. I hate it oh so much.

The one with dragons actually has expert tactics which is cheap. It means if you don't somehow get the ballistic skill, you won't have a chance to wall your seadog. If that's the case at least put a scholar with ballistic somewhere. Geeze.
