Awww I love the hubbie shout out. Also thank you both for all that you provide the online community. I have been learning a lot as I start hand dying my own yarn. I also appreciate seeing a someone like me pursuing my passion.

So much goes into growing a yarn business - marketing, yarn prep, cleaning, packaging - not to mention yarn dying. I hope you know you and your efforts are appreciated.

Thank you. I'm happy my videos are been informative for you. My business is still tiny as well but it provides for my needs and most important I enjoy it, it doesn't feel like work. My goal is to keep it that way.

Since this is plant (non-wool) fiber, did you use procion dyes instead of acid dyes for this? Beautiful colors! Love your videos...so calming and educational.
@EssenceofAutumnYarn2 жыл бұрын
This base has a high % of protein fibre because of the silk so I was able to use acid dyes. However I believe procion (which I don't have) would work also even on the silk.

Such beautiful yarn! Thank you for sharing this with us. Am I correct that the dye will not bind to the linen component of the yarn? If so, do you adjust your dying to compensate or just let it add to the effect? Either way, it is lovely.
@EssenceofAutumnYarn2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the compliment. Yes you're right the dye won't stick to the linen. With that in mind I have to remember to use less dye than usual and also be aware that the colours won't be as saturated in this base.
